Excellent beers, food good value, very welcoming- this lot gets it right. Beer and deer or roebuck pie you'll be coming back!! A real treat for birthdays etc Mother's Day and so on. Winter time generally light the fires (though problems with chimney when we called in).

Despite it being a March Tuesday The Roebuck was stiil busy at lunchtime with those in the know in the Otley area. Two fires were blazing and the staff equally warm and welcoming. The Roebuck doesn't pretend to be anything its not . It gives honest good pub food at its best I've been before and was introducing it to... More

Been here twice and enjoyed it both times. This time had slow cooked lamb which was delicious and very tender. They let dogs into bar area so no problem there. Will go back and would recommend. Not cheap but decent value as chef is competent and portions decent size. Service polite and friendly if a tad slow.

On arrival we could see this was a very popular venue if you are looking for somewhere to go for a Sunday dinner. We arrived at 2pm and were told there wasn't anywhere available until 4pm however we were lucky and they managed to find us somewhere as there was only 2 of us so impressive start. Based on this... I can recommend the Roebuck's prawn cocktail, really fresh ingredients and masses of prawns. Will be returning another time for a pie, they look amazing. The puddings are also fabulous, overall the meals are much better than standard pub fare. The service is friendly and the decor is lovely. Well worth making the trip to Otley to eat here.

Having arrived at the Wharfedale Hospital when it was closed for lunch we decided to kill an hour with a bite to eat and a pint. We know the area well and we knew the Roebuck was just a few hundred yards up the road. Neither of us could remember whether or not we'd been before. There were people eating,... More

We stopped here for a drink and sandwiches. The service was good and the lunch was honest good pub food. A good range of beers in a comfortable setting. The interior decor is comfortable and restful.

Have enjoyed 2 Sunday lunches here recently. Yesterday had delicious slow roast lamb with haggis. For desert I opted for the Coffee Gourmet (coffee with 3 mini deserts), which was amazing sticky toffee pudding, creme brulee and a lemon cream desert with berries, very filling as well (not that small!).

Our second weekend away to Harrogate in two years, so I researched "Dog Friendly" Pubs along the way. Found "The Roebuck" on Google. It's funny I know, but we must remember that Tripadvisor is only a guide and completed by a wide population of travellers - our comments, thoughts, outbursts are in the main subjective so it is possible to... Visited the Roebuck with some friends after a good countryside walk. I was really looking forward to my meal for I had been before and didn't have any complaints. My friends all had cooked meals and none seemed to complain. I had a prawn sandwich which I can only describe as terrible apart from the prawns. Didn't have a choice... More
