We have eaten here on a number of Summer occasions when the shaded courtyard is a delight. For the second time this season the temperature had advised us to eat in the pretty interior.
We were with friends, one of whom was a vegetarian. It is not easy to find somewhere in the Lot et Garonne that provides such an array of choice for non meat and fish eaters - this is an exception.
All four of us had a delicious meal from the innovative wide menus. The service is always friendly and helpful
We can recommend the wine list too!

We discovered this establishment while walking in this small village of Pujols. The setting is nice, shaded terrace.
The welcome given to customers is to be highlighted as well as the dishes offered. Homemade is appreciable and the desserts well done. For my part I had the cabbage praline, a delight.
Good address.

We sat in the shaded courtyard on a summer evening in July. The host was welcoming, humorous and friendly. For a starter I had Tuna tartare which was fresh and tasty followed by a main course of the most amazing Prawn tagliatelle! It was the best I had ever tasted. The massive prawns x3 were in their shells and a huge mountain of pasta was out of this world. I have never quite tasted anything like it. I had no room for dessert unfortunately.
The 1.6kg bone in steak (for 2 people) was also a show stopper and not for the faint hearted.
The only downside was the mosquitoes so a suggestion I would make is to wear Mosquito repellent as I got bitten a number of times.

We have been coming here for 7 years and always loved it for casual and special occasions. The more interesting menu choices have diminished since the pandemic but the new Maître d', Alain, is naturally attentive and friendly, clearly taking pride in the menu and making the clients' experience a very good one. One of the signature dishes is Cochon du Lait and I was looking forward to the moist and succulent dish. What I got was two grey lumps of hard, dry unappetising reheated pork, the texture of wood with rubbery skin. Inedible. Disgusting.
I complained (rare for me) and the server simply said "c'est normal". I expected an apology at least or a reduction in the bill but - and this is even more annoying - the chef sent me a freshly cooked portion to take away "for me to eat later" which, on inspection proved to be exactly as it should have been. So why on earth hadn't I been served that in the first place ??? We paid full price of course and left with a meal neither of us now wanted and felt that if Alain had been on duty things might have been different. Will we go back?
Maybe for pasta. Never with friends.

Run away !
The service is deplorable! I waited over 20 minutes before being asked if I wanted an appetizer; the menu is false (the dishes offered are not those served to you and no one says so), however the price has not been reduced. The wine list is supposedly not updated, we don't give it to you, the food list (it's been reprinted for 4 months), we tell you if you make a comment.
No, really, they are not restaurant professionals.

Lunch for our wedding anniversary. From the starter to the dessert, all frankly delicious, we looked at the dishes being top notch, quantity, quality, perfect seasoning. Shellfish soup, a marvel! , and my octopus to die for with its little vegetables and the balsamic pearls that burst in the mouth....and, for me who doesn't often have dessert, the praline glazed choux took me back to my childhood: perfect choux like at home in Burgundy, specialist in gougères and other choux...and praline ice cream, no memory of having tasted such a good one! We are ready to start again... not to mention the pretty and quiet terrace and the top waitress, smiling and friendly....

Wedding dinner with family and friends. What a pity the restaurant closed 5 months later! Succulent cuisine that makes you travel and beautiful setting that takes you back in time. Staff attentive and pleasant!!! What a sadness! We wanted to go back in August with our 4 children...

Very average quality starter and barely lukewarm!
The room was barely heated and we were poorly seated.
Small amount of wine in the glasses.
My dish of tagliatelle with prawns too fatty!!
Exaggerated prices compared to the quality of the dishes served.
I will not return to your establishment again.

Very disappointing ! We use Parisian prices even though the service is ordinary, no confirmation when booking
The quality of the products is also average.
Main course and dessert, €40 for an improved canteen!

Beautiful Environment, too bad the service was very long, the pasta was good, but the meat very nervous.
Some people arrived after us, and we were served before. We had to ask for the dish menus since they were not distributed to us, the wine list. A large table and not even a gesture from the boss for a coffee or a digestive. Disappointed overall.

Dinner with friends indoors taking into account the weather conditions. Excellent dishes, impeccable service, desserts a little subpar. Wine list or several bottles were unavailable. It’s a shame not to focus the wine list on quality Italian wine and from Sardinia to boot. We had a great time.

One of our favourite restaurants. You can eat inside or in the shaded courtyard. Portions are enormous so be hungry when you arrive! Several starters - the spinach leaves with garlic and parmesan, hazelnuts and sundried tomatoes are delicious! - and their spaghetti a l'ail is delicious! Meats are well-cooked and generous portions always. Friendly staff. Smeralda can get busy so it's always advisable to book during holiday season. Highly rcommended, you won't be disappointed.

Great meal and nice to have an alternative to duck (not easy in SW France). Sat outside on a hot busy Saturday evening in early July and were well looked after. The portions are large - between us we had a super octopus salad, some lovely grilled asparagus and charcuterie ( literally a massive plate of meat and nothing else). Our mains were even bigger, some lovely fresh ravioli stuffed with ricotta and an orange sauce, ravioli with veal and a massive plate of ribs. Not a light summer meal but good hearty Sardinian fare well done.

It used to be my favorite. No longer. Paper napkins, plastic tables and sets, but prices don’t match this set up.
Wine by the glass (Italian from Sardaigne not great despite some great ones on the wine list by the bottle) is disappointing..
Pork (spareribs) awful: too much garlic and only fat to eat. Pasta is mediocre ( no aldente, buried under melted cheese)
Impressive quantity, depressive quality.
I’m sad because the good time there is gone.

A group of 7 of us were welcomed into a fabulous lunch experience. Sardinian anchovies as part of the amuse, wonderful shared starters (salad, aubergine, ham, melon...) and then various pasta dishes to die for. So not French, but totally worth a detour to Pujols (pretty town!) for Sardinian food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
