We had lunch at the seaside, Lamin is a very good chef and hoast. The fish was delicious and the fruit juices he makes are refreshing and healthy

I enjoyed the trip. however what put me off was the aggression for tips from the boat boys and it continued when they didn't get enough. I travel on my own regularly and i am not intimidated by the Gambian men who are usually very nice. They owner needs to do something about these young men or trade will suffer... More

Lamin Lodge is a typical Gambian tranquil river inlet on the side of the ‘River Gambia’. It is run as a co-operative amongst the local Gambians from Lamin Village who farm for oysters which they sell to the local markets and then process the oyster shells for fertiliser, cement and also paint. There is also a restaurant and a small... More

..entered the restaurant and it was crowded. We saw people sitting down and eating enjoying them self, so we took a big tabble all 11 of us. Then we got the menu and saw some apes outside just behind us on the roof. we noticed a woman at the table next to ours that had one ape stealing some food... More

You must know that you'll have to defend yourself from the monkeys, they do respect the stick that you are provided with upon arrival. Other than that food is really nice and staff is friendly! Amazing view and tour boats available nearby ;)

We stopped off here a couple of times . Once with Arch tours ( 4 tours in one day) to indulge in drinks and doughnuts. A couple of days later we found ourselves there again for The Lazy Day River Cruise. A very rustic and unstable looking building but a good meeting place to board one of the pirogues .... More

Every decent birder knows that The Gambia is one of the best places in Africa to do birdwaching. On top of that they have some very good bird guides. Ons of those excellent places for birdwatching is Lamin Creek/Lamin Lodge. We did the birdwatching partly by pirogue peddled trough the mangrove lined bolongs, and partly on foot in a beaufiful... Lamin Lodge is a very nice place for bird watching, spending a lazy afternoon enjoying the views. There food provided was ok for the price. But the view is much nicer.
