I ate here on Friday evening. We hadn't booked so had to sit inside which was hot and humid. The restaurant appears to have aircon but chose not to switch it on despite the temperature being in the mid to high 30s. The service was...reasonably good as was the pizza and dessert. If you find yourself staying in the nearby hotel and want to eat somewhere friendlier, cheaper and with better service, walk across the square to this pizzeria. The food may not be trying to be provincial French but they are much better at what they do at Le Saint Nicolas.More

We dined here staying at the excellent Chez Ric and Fer. The restaurant was warm and the staff friendly and efficient. The food was OK, and the prices very reasonable. We learned afterwards that it is under new management so some of the other reviews...may not be relevant anymore.More

At Le St Nicholas Pizza / Creperie, they were quick to inform us they only had a limited menu. (Pizzas very mediocre.) Then the Sun came out and made our seats unbearably hot (we have 3 young children one of whom is sensitive to sun)....We were told in an extremely unfriendly and unhelpful way that all the other tables were reserved. I asked whether those particular tables had been reserved and was told that they had. For the duration of our meal, and for the following 20 minutes, all of the empty tables remained empty - as, indeed, they deserve to be!More

We stopped here for a quick lunch before heading back to England and after visiting the château. Ok - it is a simple pizza and galette restaurant and the decor is very much simple French off the beaten track but for a quick lunch it...was actually a really pleasant experience. Friendly staff, big portions, surprisingly busy with mostly locals, clearly cleaner toilets than in previous reviews and the food itself was perfectly serviceable. I had a maroilles galette and everyone else had crispy tasty French style pizza. It isn't haute cuisine but it was more than pleasant - i would go again without hesitation and our satisfaction made the drive to the tunnel a lot more pleasurable!More

My father and I are American, speak decent French, and were traveling together in Coucy. The food was good, but there was a young woman working there who was horribly rude. When we took a seat outside, she brusquely told us to go sit in...the back outside. She failed to give us directions and we had to find our own way to it through the convoluted restaurant. When I ordered a specific beer from the menu (a blonde, I think; I no longer remember the name of the brewery), she kept repeating the name of one brewery on the menu then another brewery on the menu. When I asked for the beer I wanted again, she looked at me with disdain and said the name of one brewery then another, as if those were my only two choices. This despite the fact that several breweries were represented on the menu. I repeated one of the names she gave me, she brought it, it tasted great. My sense is that she didn't want to deal with tourists; then don't work in a service business in a town that a lot of tourists visit. I was happy when an older woman took over and brought us our pizza. She was wonderful. If this young woman still works there (I hope she doesn't), I feel sorry for any travelers who cross her path.More

We ate here as a family of 4 following a visit to le chateau, glad I never read reviews as it would have put me off! But, food was good value, lots of it and kids loved the pizza. Would recommend cassoulet de mussels. Well...worth a visit.More

The children had good pizza. I've no idea what was in my salad but it tasted great. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Potions are huge and good in taste. Good children menu. Opening times are really odd and you need to make sure that you have the right day / time as it seems to change a lot. Kids loved the crepe. Kinder egg one especially.

We stumbled into Crêperie Pizzeria Le St Nicolas looking for a meal after a long drive. We sat down at random but were promptly requested by the waitress to move because the table was reserved ; odd as there was no sign and the establishment...was near deserted. The table remained abandoned throughout our meal. The interior of Le St Nicolas lacks atmosphere and looks outdated. Table napkins and floor were not very clean. The pizza lacked spices and herbs and therefore tasted very bleak. I’ve had better in many a common snackbar.More
