This place definitely impressed us. We came in the off season and there was still a bit of a wait but they were very kind providing us with menus and getting us our wine so we could drink it on the stoop while we waited. The food was definitely worth the wait! The server was excellent and provided us with... More

We came to To Maereio after reading all the reviews on trip advisor and I was really looking forward to the experience and food. We were so disappointed and after reading all the reviews again we either had a bad evening or chose badly from the menu. For starters I had the mushroom saganaki, after having the prawn version somewhere... More

First night in Mykonos. Loved the charm of this small local place. Found the food fresh and delicious. Two of us split a salad, the meatball dish, and the "panful" pork entree. All very good. We had about a 30 minute wait but were able to take our carafe of wine to the street and sit and wait. Charming, good... More

We read reviews about To Maereio's before we visited so we knew we might expect a wait. It was still very busy on an early October evening, as you can't book, the staff seemed to spend a good chunk of their time explaining to patrons who had arrived that 'there is a 30 minute wait', 'no we can't take your... Yes, you will generally have to wait, but the wait is more than worth it. Just sit on the steps beside the restaurant, order the best martini the island has to offer and watch the masses pass you by. This authentic Greek restaurant owned by local twins (sons of Asimina - their mykonian mother famous for her cooking) serves a... More

We found this place on tripadvisor. We enjoyed a quiet meal in a very relaxed atmosphere, we ordered the special which was amazing and some great wine. The waitress, Martine, was a great advisor, explaining the dishes and making suggestions, everything worked brilliantly. They asked to move to the bar at the end of our meal, to make room for... This restaurant gets full very quickly. We arrived at 7pm and got a table, by 7.30pm there was a queue. The food was really good modern greek food - delicious. As for prices - first let me say Mykonos is expensive compared to other places in Greece. The prices here are cheap/moderate for Mykonos. We paid 35 euro per head.... More

Just the best in Mykanos. Well worth the 30 minute wait for our table. Great friendly service all home cooked food and a cozy atmosphere.

The restaurant is very nice, small but cosy. Most tables are inside and only a few outside, large parties cannot be accommodated outside. The wait is usually long. The place has a reputation for serving traditional simple Greek food, at least that was the case when it began, nowadays it has been in part swept by the island hype. Portions have... More
