This is the 2nd time I’ve visited here and the food on both occasions has been spot on. We tried the lamb wrap from the specials board, the steak pie and the burger which at £9 for a burger and a pint was great value....More

Cold and burnt food. Rude staff. Order not taken correctly. Overcharged for drinks. Avoid this place

Went with a group of ex colleagues for a department social lunch. Good beer and a lovely lunch. Wide choice on the menu and good service.

We arranged a small get together for 25 of us to celebrate a member of the family passing their exams. We ordered a buffet and were given a private room. Fantastic buffet and excellent value for money. Everyone commented on how nice the food was....More

I recently visited with friends on a Sunday evening. Food was average to say the least and staff had a terrible attitude and couldn’t be bothered. I will definitely not be returning and I wouldn’t recommend it either!!

Visited a few days ago as a group. Pre-ordered the chicken. For £14 I was expecting more than chicken no bigger than a chicken nugget. I had one spoonful of sauce, one asparagus an a handful of peas. Never again. Waste of money.

Hi Karen, Have just telephoned The Plough; the position is that they welcome dogs downstairs in the bar eating area, but not in the upstairs restaurant. Hope that helps you. Regards Ken
