If I'm in Normandy in June, then I'm here for lunch on the 6th. I love the place for a number of reasons. OK, sometimes it can be slow service, but it is the 6th that I go so it's fair. The menu is simple...food, but it is all well done. I've been with parties from four-seven in size, and no one has yet complained about the food standard.More

Sitting in elegant comfort in the sunshine, overlooking the huge expanse of golden sands and the gentle blue sea lapping to the shore, it is difficult to imagine the horrors that took place here. Then one looks to the right and sees the monument.... Spectacular...location. Limited choice of food (sunday) but the panini we had was good quality.More

We stay at camp just close to and this restaurant was nearest choice especially that was time when they start to close. Service was weak and dinner was - lest say not what you expect at touristic area. I’m used at better especially at France....They provide me with such dirty spoon that I have to ask for new one. Food was week , wine was just ok and desert ( ice cream ) was just mistake. We will definite come back but not to this restaurant. They are misusing fact that they are there neatly alone.More

Two couples stopped here for a quick lunch. The food was somewhat ordinary but quite good. My Croquet Monsueir was tasty. Service was adequate. Not the best but OK.

Room was good size, nice view, had free wifi, mini fridge and a great soaking tub. Did not care much for the breakfast, not allot to choose from and was 10 euros a person. Loved that it was right on the beach and was not...far from many of the museums and the American Normandy cemetery. Was pretty cool seeing so many past and present vets dressed up, driving vehicles that were in the war and traveling from beach to beach doing some reinactments, etc.More

Only immediately available restaurant of reasonable quality on the beach. Other spots are basically snack and grab deals. Well sited at Varraville Draw overlooking Dog White Beach and remains of Mulberry. Service is slow but food is decent to great depending upon choices. Cafe style...on lower deck, restaurant on upper deck.More

The restaurant is at the location on the extreme right side of Omaha Beach. The dining area overlooks the beach. It is the location where Company A of the 116th Infantry landed. Just outside the building there is a rebuilt a German gun emplacement, and...in the hill above the building you can see a second gun location. It is easy to image what an easy target anything on Omaha Beach was from those gun emplacements. The price, food and service in the restaurant were fine. Our waitress told us that the building itself has been used as a German mess hall during the occupation. Also, just up the beach exit you can see sections of the causeway that were part of the artificial harbor system build right after June 6th.More

We stayed at the Omaha campsite above here and decided to dine at this restaurant one night. Having lived and worked in France and holidayed in France for many years since, we know the service and quality of food that this country is famous for,...but this place is lacking. Firstly, the waiting staff were young and not well trained - a lot of confusion with our order, even though we spoke French. Secondly, the wine is vastly overpriced to cash in on the tourists. Thirdly, we gave them a second chance and dined alfresco for lunch the next day and had a load sand flies in our food.More

This is a place where they should have the best place for fine dining on the top of Omaha. But they just decided to make money without value. Most of it is coming from frozen products and you pay the high price for it. Don't...go.More

Our Omaha Beach tour group of about 16 people stopped here for a prearranged lunch. We had preordered our meals when we booked the tour (Bayeaux Tours - outstanding!), with a choice of chicken or fish. The chicken and au gratin potatoes were very good,...as was the service. All the workers spoke a little English, and that, combined with the writer's 20 words of French, was more than enough for the purpose. Of course, the highlight is the stunning views of Omaha Beach. It almost seems wrong to sit there and enjoy lunch against a backdrop where so many brave people perished. Strongly recommended; this is the place for lunch when you're visiting Omaha and associated sites.More

We visited Omaha, Juno, and Utah beaches. None was more eye opening than Omaha. We were lucky to be there at low tide, exactly as it was when the invasion started. To see the 400 yards of open sand surrounded by hills with dense undergrowth...and few places to move through to safety speaks volume on what the invasion soldier faced during the invasion of Normandy. It is amazing that the invasion was successful. To hear the story, if a small number of things had not happened to the German forces manning the beach, we would not have been successful. We also went to Point Du Hoc, the location of the German guns with a full view of all the invasion beaches. There are still giant shell craters left there from the invasion. I actually scooped up some sand in a plastic bag and brought it home because that was a far more meaningful memento than anything I could buy in one of the tourist shops. This is a place you will visit and remember your whole life.More

This little eatery (located on the bottom half of the building) had good pizzas and sandwiches, but the star of the menu was definitely the moules. Great place for either lunch or dinner, the comfortable terrace overlooks Omaha Beach while the cozy interior displays old...pictures from WWII.More

We booked Hotel du Casino as a recommendation from one of the travel books. We are so glad we did. We ended up arriving late after a work conference in Paris, and they were ready for us. They have a small restaurant and bar. The...tables are always ready for the guests, they are totally personable with each of you and you are never hurried, and always welcomed. The breakfast is more continental, but totally wonderful, the jams are home made. Amazing this place made it through the war. Julia checked us in, and out, and was there for breakfast for us. Dinner was outstanding. There isn't a lot at this location from a bar scene or restaurant scene, so very low key and restful. It is a great launching point to see the other Normandy beaches and history museums. I would go back in a heart beat! Thank you Julia!More

We chose to stop here for lunch after having misfortune to attampt a meal at the D -Day restaurant further down the beach (see reviews!!!) The staff here were more than friendly, the food excellent and the price spot on. I cannot praise this establishment...enough, given the poor service and welcome elsewhere on the beach. Fantastic - Tres tres bon merciMore
