We have had few meals here recently both lunch and evening and we cant praise this hotel highly enough. Everything is spot on. From the varied menu, the service and presentation cant be faulted in any way, the dining room is especially nice with lovely...views to the river Deveron. You will not be disappointed dining here for sure and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Colin and JeanetteMore

We popped in one evening for dinner. Little did we know that reservations would have been wise as there is very limited seating. While waiting for our table, we wandered the quaint village of Rothiemay and enjoyed scouting the local cemetery for our ancestors. Upon...return to the hotel, we were seated and treated to a delightful evening of wonderfully prepared, fresh food. Our waitress was a sweetheart and when one of us requested a tiny sample of haggis, she returned to the table with a full serving for all to try. We were quite surprised as to how good the haggis was (we had never had it), and it was quickly eaten by all. It was a very relaxed, pleasant evening with the wonderful staff at the Forbes Arms.More

Just had a evening meal at The Forbes Arms as it was mid week it was quiet but the meal was perfect in every way. From the minute we walked in the owner was very friendly and welcoming served our drink and showed to our...table with the menus. We ordered at our leisure I had soup starter when it came it was piping hot with plenty bread and butter the bowl was brim full and very tasty (Scotch Broth) we then had a steak I had 16oz T Bone and my wife had a 8 Oz Fillet Steak we both asked for medium and when they were served they were spot on with chips, mushrooms, onions, carrots and peas more than ample for two. My wife had a pudding which was Toffee Banoffee tart and ice cream which again was beautiful and very tasty. Overall a very well presented meal in a nicely decorated room by a very friendly owner could not fault anything will definitely be going back.More

If you are looking for a friendly pub with good homemade grub, excellent beer, a comfy bed and a reasonable price then this is the place for you. It is not a 5 star spa kind of place just a decent honest pub with rooms...and good food.More
