Looking forward to a Chinese after being on hols..what a disappointment..waited an hour+ for chicken fried rice and curry sauce..not a huge order!!! Eventually got my order and we’ll YUK is the only word for it ..rice was soggy and sticky..not sure they understood what...fried meant..and seriously even putting that amount of salt didn’t hide the fact it was mush!! Sauce was ok though ....haven’t been for a while and I won’t be hurrying backMore
Having my parents to stay for a week but needing to go into work in Keith one of the days I decided to cheat and go home with the food already cooked for me and opted for the Wah Ling. The food was really tasty,...great quality and certainly more than plenty. I won't be waiting to find an excuse to go back, will just treat myself - I'm worth it lol !!More
I spent about a week in Keith and ate here almost every day. The food was of good quality and cooked well. It has recently came under new management and the management and staff are working hard to bring it up to be one of...the best take aways around serving good food at reasonable prices. I will be back up there in a few months time and will head straight there. Nan AyrshireMore
Had meal for 4, called it in was told 20 mins. fine we live 10mins from take away. Ordered 2 King prawn chow mien, king prawn curry, king prawn fried rice, with starters and sweets. Arrived before the 20 mins and the food was ready...for pick up. All food was hot, freshly cooked and very good value for money. Highly recommend the Wah Ling to anyone.More
Been a customer of Wah Ling for +35 years. Went to collect telephone order, I was told I didn't leave my name!! Took down my order wrong, I had to pay the difference for their mistake, I asked if fresh order would be made but...didn't know, said it was not his fault and only manager could give away food! I asked to speak to manager and was told they would come with my food. Manager apologies for mix up and offers prawn crackers, I said keep them, not happy with the poor customer service. Guess what the rest of the original order presented again was cool and quality of food was not as good as usual. Lesson in how to loose customersMore
I will not be using this place again.
Food was cold
Lemon Chicken consisted of nothing more than pieces of cold deep fried chicken - no lemon sauce
Duck Chinese Style - fried duck in an unidentifiable sauce and no sign of any vegetables
Fried...rice - appeared to be rice with a bit of soy sauce in it
Spring Roll - was burnt and fell apart.
This was a lot of money for something that ended up in the bin
Phoned to complain and was told that I needed to come back to pick up the Lemon SauceMore
Ordered special fried rice, and was looking forward to it. Asked for a pot of curry, but was told it had 'gravy running through it'. Price was £6.50, which is a very reasonable price for this. I love special fried rice, and it has been...quite a while since I've had it.
Place was empty, which should have told me something, I guess, as the chippy up the road was packed out. Pulled off the road to eat it, as still had a long drive. Loads of bamboo shoots on top, a couple of prawns, and some chicken, but no pork etc All seemed to be poached in a watery, tasteless gravy. Couldn't understand why I couldn't see any rice, till I scraped back the bamboo shoots.
Half the dish at the bottom was soggy boiled rice, sitting in a soup of watery gravy. Nothing about this was 'fried'. I can only say it was tasteless, watery slop. Dumped it in the bin and went to Tesco for a sandwich. Don't waste your hard earned cash - this isn't even fit to feed to your dog.More
