Just after Lockdown 2020, La Barracchina, delivered great spirits and FANTASTIC FRESH FISH prepared in so many great ways. The staff is great. The bubbles and wine are good and fairly priced. The fish and the presentation are great. It is also a great view...of the sea.More

Perfect harmony of food and site, enjoiable place right on the water... you get there after a short walk along the sea side. Menu is based on sea food specialties both the antipasti and the pasta dishes are various, well presented and very local. Main...courses are based on fish, shellfish and lobster/scampi and prawns prepared at the moment. Desserts are not the specialty. Wine list sufficientMore

Pricey, but worth it! Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service was perfect and beautiful view over the sea. You have to book in advance.

I am Italian, totally trustworthy and well travelled. Location is very nice, just by the sea in the pleasant location of Castiglioncello. The restaurant is poorly furnished, the light too intense for a dinner, and no air conditioning was on (don’t think they have it)....Food was good (we had fried anchovies, pasta with urchin and oven-cooked fish with vegetables), but presented and cooked in a basic way: doesn’t worth the money we spent (€220), should have been less than the half. No wonder that, despite the fact we were in the middle of summer (although on Wednesday), it was almost empty.More

Light airy and pretty atmosphere. Right on the Sea. Elegant but casual but not overdone. Freshest and best tasting fish and pasta sauces. Service is very good and friendly. Memorable.

As a Livorno native, I never missed the chance for a brief stay in Castiglioncello, always finding magic and inspiration getting to know one another among the rocks or rest in the shade of the gardens . Castiglioncello , It's known as the ‘Pearl of...the Tyrrhenian Sea’. and visitors are sure to enjoy its protected bays and clean beaches or to stroll along the pinewood forests that characterize its coastline . And its here that La Baracchina is located , there’s something about the play of light and wind on the water, and the sounds by the sea that is captivating me and force me to have dinner here during each of my visits. If you are a seafood lovers that's the best address in town, dishes on the menù are always about the fresh water fishes and raw fishes in a variety of gourmet recipes. High quality , high prices -:))More

This family run restaurant won’t disappoint either for lunch on the sun-drenched deck or elegant dinner inside the glass-walled hall. Seafood dishes were prepared with an artistic touch, yet with the great respect to traditional methods of handling “le materie prime” only Ligurian sea can...offer in this coastal area of Tuscany. Make an evening of enjoying the atmosphere, food, sweeping maritime views in the company of friends!More

is it 2018 in La Baracchina as well? it‘s meant to be a „vegetarian friendly“ restaurant but serves NO single vegetarian dish. thanks for the coming the long way in vain.
