We highly recommend this joint! The fried seafood plate is delicious. Combine it with the fried veggies and a top bottle of white wine “Cala del Lupo” and it’s heaven! For two people 30€! 👍It’s self service but it’s easy and they’re super-friendly!

We went here because it was voted number 1 by TA. And it deserves it - it doesn’t look great, everything is served on plastic and it’s self service....but the good is simply delicious. The fried sea food was great and a really price, the...pasta was tasty. Wine was good, beer was cold. I would recommend it more as a lunch place as it’s not really a “night out”. Will go again, for sure.More
The usual Italian fried fish / frutti di mare, and a few cold dishes. The fried stuff is fresh and you can order for dinner from 7 pm only, not earlier. Take away available too. Plastic cutlery, plastic plates.
This place is wonderful - if you are bored with fancy restaurants and want to eat with the locals, come here. Very friendly owner who explained all the choices to us - fast food, wonderful tastes and choices of fish dishes - fried cod with...olives was my favourite - basic chairs and tables, plastic cutlery and glasses so no washing up, but a joyful place to be. Thank you !More
It wasn't a fancy restaurant, but the food was amazing. Excellent choice for lunch or simple dinner. You can ask the food for takeaway.
We came here hoping for a kind of fish and chips experience and because the reviews were very good. There is certainly something very authentic about this place but you should be warned that the emphasis here is more on seafood than standard fish. They...only had a small quantity of one kind of fried fish. This was good though but I got the impression that this might easiy have run out if we had come later. If you eat in then you have a choice between the noisy street with menacing and hungry mosquitos or the inside seating area. This can get a bit warm on a summer evening and if you have the pleasure to be sharing this with a couple of Italian families the bathroom-like acoustic combined with the Italians and their vowell-rich language and lively temperament will ensure that any normal conversation will be impossible. The moral here is go with an open mind and a good appetitite for seafood, sit back and enjoy the autentic atmosphere. And also the fact that there is no coperto. Oh, and it won't break that bank either.More
Down to earth friendly family business. Great value !!!! Charming great place with room for everyone. Plastic cutlery, wine in a box, moretti special edition is just part of the charm. We loved it !
Hungry for a good plate of humble but yummy fishy food while we were in the area, tripadvisor’s first hit showed a photo of beautifully fried fish and 5 star reviews. Had to try and was not disappointed! On the contrary, the frittura mista, as...well as the spaghetti alle vongole and the calamari ripieni were stunning! Simple, humble and comforting Italian seafood in an equally humble but welcoming and friendly setting at a good price! The owners were so kind to serve us even though we arrived at their afternoon closing hour as they were sitting down for their own lunch. We had a wonderful conversation with them as they were eating beside us. È stato un piacere, sicuramente torneremmo!More
If you ever stay in Castiglioncello and you love fish, this quirky little place is a must. We had a one night stay nearby and went there for lunch. On our way back to Pisa we stopped here again having driven from southern Tuscany. We...had the mixed fried seafood. Delicious! Not expensive at all and the staff were very friendly. Don't expect white table cloths and table service as it is just a small outlet with a few tables.More
It’s a place which you would never find by yourself. Great & fresh seafood and prefect service! Warm and enthusiastic welcome from Francesco (hope I remembered your name correctly). Grazie!
