We had lunch at Camelot on our last visit to Barbados. We had booked in advance but I dont think this was required for lunch at the time of year we visited. The restaurant overlooks the sea and is very light and airy. Staff and service were excellent, there was a good choice of food, i had the grilled half... More

We were staying at Cobblers Cove and ate here. Quite simply, difficult too fault. Menu not extensive but quality cuisine. Beautiful setting. We stayed 2 weeks and ate there 4 times.

Hotel hard to find with inconspicuous signage. Hotel needs a decorative refresh and also some re-modelling particularly as it poses as a Relais & Chateau hotel. Single quite small pool a disadvantage as is the lack of an immediate access beach area due to sand erosion. Food very good but service a little slow albeit with friendly staff. Seafront restaurant... More

Very disappointed - Fish (mahi-mahi) was overcooked and dry, Presentation, composition and service very average - dessert again overcooked and dry.

Does not compare with other 'fine-dining' establishments on the West Coast. Dinner guests are usually from the hotel so if you are eating late it may get a little lonely! Menu sometimes reads like the chef is showing off. It doesn't work ......do better what you are best at!

Excellent friendly service. Food beautifully presented . I had the pork and it tasted superb. Hotel gardens look very pretty and decor is stunning and tasteful.

This did not start well when our G & T’s did not appear to contain any gin! It then got worse, the lobster in my salad starter was chewy and my fillet steak came up medium when I have made it very clear I eat it blue. They changed it and it was fine second time around but it meant... More

Not sure where the previous reviewer went to but surely wasn't Camelot? We went last night - from start to finish a terrific experience. Food fantastic, service superb. Don't listen to anyone else - go yourself, and be delighted!

My wife and I having stayed at the hotel last year and thoroughly enjoyed Michael Harrison's cooking, decided Camelot was the perfect way to end a wonderful month on the island with a memorable meal. Well, it was memorable - but for all the wrong reasons. Whilst the food was pretty good (but no longer exceptional as it had been... More

We lunched at the restaurant at Cobblers Cove, whilst the simple meals that we enjoyed were perfectly adequate for a luncheon menu, the service was very distant and the staff unsmiling and apparently unapproachable. So different from our hotel at the Coral Reef Club, more about that later. The prices were in line with anticipation and we ate and left,... More

At the heart of Cobblers Cove and in a culinary league all of its own, the Camelot Restaurant offers island-inspired, delicious modern cuisine with a distinct Bajan twist. Recently awarded the highly-coveted 'Restaurant of the Year' award by the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association, The Camelot is recognised for creative gourmet cuisine and impeccable restaurant service. Under the direction of Michael Harrison, the only Barbados-born Executive Chef cooking in a 5 star setting on the island, Chef Michael trained under Michel Roux Jr. At Le Gavroche in London, before working at a number of world-renowned restaurants and returning home to Cobblers Cove in 2012. The Chef and his team source as many of their ingredients as possible from local farmers and fishermen, to make sure only the freshest, most flavourful ingredients are used to bring the true taste of the island to Camelot guests. Cobblers Cove's reputation for excellence in cuisine has earned the hotel its much coveted 5 star recognition from the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group, whose emphasis on food and wine has set the culinary bar at the highest level.
