This was a pleasant place to spend time, have a good meal, and look at an interesting offering of books and products available for purchase. There was also an intriguing historical display. All in all a great visit!

We enjoyed lunch here as part of our Dark Tickle Expedition iceberg Zodiac tour. The food was delicious - especially the crumble for dessert! We were only sorry we were too full to try the local berry-flavoured ice creams that sounded so good!

Wonderful food, great ambiance. Fish cakes were our favourite. We particularly loved the many historical pieces of information scattered around.

Nice coffee and snacks. Homemade ice cream. Nice place to hang out. You have to remember things go at a fairly relaxed pace in NFL

Who would have thought that this little Café would have the best seafood chowder on the Island along with a great lentil curry dish and lets not forget the amazing ice cream with flavors you get no where else. To say the least we were...pleasantly surprised with the food from Café Nymphe when we decided to go up those stairs at The Dark Tickle Company. If you are in the area you must visit for dinner.More

I’m from the area, and last weekend was my first time at Cafe Nymphe. The food, staff and atmosphere was perfect. I believe staff can make or break a business. The staff here definitely helps makes this place what it is. The food we had...was delicious. The place is so cozy..it felt almost like when I used to spend time in my grandfathers twine loft as a child. Our server Jessica was so friendly and attentive. They got really busy and we were still served in a timely manner and didn’t feel rushed to leave. Keep doing what you’re doing, we’ll be back soon. Go here, you won’t be disappointed!More

We ate here multiple times during our stay in the area - it was so good! Their pizzas are thin crust, the salads, drinks and desserts incorporate local berries, and the venue is charming, with an historical nod to the French history in St. Lunaire....Staff are friendly and service was quick. Would definitely recommend to travelers on the Viking Trail! About 20 min from L'Anse aux Meadows.More

We had some great take out sandwiches from Cafe Nymphe. DH discovered the Cafe while I was on a tour. He met me with this lovely picnic with Caprese, ham & rhubarb, and apple and cheese paninis. They were all really good but I believe...the Caprese were my favorite. We popped back in the next morning for coffee and had the Bakeapple ice cream. It was wonderful. Highly recommend you stop up on the second floor. The cafe is half museum also with all the interesting items they have.More

Dark Tickle company, makes the BEST JAM! I got hooked on the Bakeapple jam. You can only get this in Newfoundland. If you go there, make sure you pick up a few. They also sell souvenir's , Viking sway... and anything Newfoundland.. Nice and clean...and well stocked and organized.More

We stopped to shop at Dark Tickle which has wonderful array of beautiful Newfoundland mementos and found out there was a cafe upstairs. I had the best latte ever - Patridgeberry! The carrot lentil soup was delicious and came with a warm yeasty bun. The...lady who served us was warm and friendly. The cafe has an eclectic array of interesting historical items. This is a jewel of a place!More

Couldn't decide. We made a decision to buy three containers of The Dark Tickle Ice cream. Instead of a wine tasting, we did an ice cream tasting. Glad we did. When you can't decide a flavor...try three. Comments from our friends... "I'm thinking the blueberry."..."Tastes just like the berries." "So creamy." " Very rich."More

This was a place I wish we found earlier in our trip. We stopped in for a coffee and ended up staying for lunch and dessert. We had a pizza that was thin crust and not greasy. It was light and we felt great after...eating it. I’m we had a ice cream and local bake apple berry Sunday for dessert which was great. The ice cream is made locally by the company and is some of the best I’ve had. Great flavour. This place has so many option from hot drinks to local beers and liquors. A very extensive menu. We will 100% be stopping in daily when in the area again !More
