Great food and reasonably priced. Fine dining without the price. The Cod was fresh caught and filleted by the server today. The Cod tongues are incredible.

Best fish ever. I had pan fried cod with scrunchens and hubby had Snow Crab. We fell in love with this place, also had entertainment. We came back next day for lunch and shared fish & chips. Delicious.

We have been visiting Newfoundland and Labrador for over 25 years and have eaten at this restaurant several years ago in its old location, on a hill. There was entertainment--a Viking in full dress telling Norse tales. We decided to try lunch here in its...new location on the water. Great experience. We came on an off time and were welcomed and served promptly. We sat by a window overlooking the water. There is also outside seating which we would have chosen if the weather had cooperated. We both had pan fried cod sandwiches which were excellent. Really a big portion of cod! We shared fries. The cod was so tasty--really done well. We took our time until more guests arrived. The atmosphere invites you to linger. The restrooms are clean and there is a good sized parking lot. Since it is on the water, the view is wonderful. We will be back. But we are wondering if they still have ice for sale since the convenience store has been taken over by the restaurant.More

We just had time for breakfast here. We ate on the patio overlooking the ocean and harbour. The views were amazing and the service very friendly. Breakfast was your typical bacon and eggs, but all done nicely. I imagine the lunch and dinner would be...equally pleasant.More

A friendly atmosphere coupled with the excellent food made for an excellent dinner. The menu has great options for all family members. So much so, we went back two more times during our visit to the area. For people that like good food and great...service, this is the place.More

Stopped for quick lunch Food was fine but service ridiculously slow. Waited at least 15 minutes before order taken, then more than 30 minutes for food. Wait worsened by loud music with commercials from some radio station. Waitress did her best but you can't run...a restaurant this size with only one waitress and one (?) cook. We had a reservation for dinner but cancelled.More

First night in area and didn’t have a reservation. We went early and the place filled up. We were able to sit at a picnic table on their deck and soak in the stunning views. Great service and excellent food. There was also music -...part country western and part local music.More

We met some new friends from our B&B. We had a great night. Food was amazing and service was excellent. The best, however, was the musical entertainment. A local musician provided nearly two hours of Irish, Folk and old Country music, to the delight of...a lot of locals. They clapped along, sang and even danced (in a restaurant without a dance floor) throughout his performance. The experience was truly a down home Newfoundland experience.More

What a great little restaurant, a must stop when you are in the area. Of course we had The daily catch which was halibut, but everything on the menu is absolutely fresh. It was mouthwatering, and the Breadpudding with screech sauce for dessert it was...perfect. It is located right on the water so if you are lucky you might get to see an Iceberg in the distance 😌More

We happened upon this restaurant while driving. Not having read any reviews we were very happy that it was so good. I had crab cakes and my husband had a lobster roll. He said it was the best he's ever had. I was thrilled to...find they had espresso and lattes which are hard to find off the beaten track in Newfoundland. The restaurant is right on the water and we had a table with a terrific view. The service was very nice.More

Good stop for lunch after touring L’Anse Aux Meadows and area. I had the fish chowder and it was excellent and came with a fresh hot roll. Beautiful location along the water and we could see icebergs in the bay.

We had dinner at The Daily Catch on a foggy, misty 3*C early June day. Despite the weather, we enjoyed the view of the iceberg-laden harbor. We started with calamari that was delightful - tender squid rings lightly dusted and perfectly fried. We both had...pan-fried cod and spinach/beet/goat cheese salad. Both were very good. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We will return if we are ever in the area again.More

The Dily Catch is a great choice for dinner. Our cod dinners were cooked just right, nicely seasoned, and lightly fried. Wild rice and a green salad were good matches with the pan-fried cod. A charming host and a a spectactular view made for a...wonderul evening. Highly recommended!More

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! Food was fresh, perfectly cooked! I am allegric to gluten so finding a superb restaurant where I could get fish and chips was a gift! Breading done with gluten free flour makes a very crisp, light crust and they did this with all...their fish and chips. Makes for terrific fish! Spectacular view - you are almost sitting in the ice cove. Great Service! Reasonable prices! Magnificent french fries - hand cut and fresh. The cove was almost covered in ice from icebergs, and it snowed in late July while we were there!More

The season for lobster is over in September. Crab depends on the catch of the fishing people.
