What a great restaurant! The food was delicious (fresh cod, patridgeberry pie), the service friendly and efficient and the view on the bay very pretty. They also sell bread and buns - the bun served with the soup was so good. Well worth the 20 minute drive from St. Anthony’s.

Four of us were recommended this restaurant by my Friend, Mayor of St. Lunaire-Griquet, who joined us for this meal. The Calamari was perfectly cooked in a tasty seasoned batter. I had to try the Shrimp and Scallops, served with rice and salad. So good, that I asked for a bun to soak-up the juice when I was done. Excellent meal, courteous and prompt service, coupled with a splendid view! This was our first visit, but it will not be our last!

Started with the calamari appetizer which was very good. Rings were massive and perfectly fried. All 4 at the table continued with one of the dinner fish entrees and everyone agreed the fish was great. Served with a nice side salad and delicious dressing as well. Nice to have something fresh when traveling. Desserts were also good - berry crumble with ice cream and a special custard parfait. Def call ahead for reservations because they reserve the actual tables for you and the best ones were kept for reservations. Service was slow and a bit uneven but view and ambience were a great distraction. Would def recommend.

We ate here based on the 4.5 star rating. I realize that a number of variables constitute a rating but our experience was so far from 4.5 stars that I’m astounded at how people arrived at it. We had calamari for appetizer, the fisherman’s platter for our entree and bread pudding for desert. The calamari was tasty but very salty. The fisherman’s platter had mussels that were too salty, salmon overcooked and crab overcooked. Parts of the bread pudding were cold. We asked for decaf coffee and was told it was instant? Far from 4.5 stars! This is not to say I wouldn’t go back but would be very careful of what I ordered. Most people seemed to have ordered the fish and chips and that might be a good option.

The restaurant just moved about 3 weeks ago to a location on the water, just a short distance, about 1 km away. We had by far the best meal in a long time. Fresh cod with just the right batter for fish and chips, carrot and ginger soup and catch of the day - a cod platter. Delicious, friendly. Highly recommend!!

With Covid closing about 50 % of tourist things on the Great Northern Peninsula this year, we were pleasantly surprised to find The Daily Catch open. The food was fantastic! Hubby thought it was some of the best deep fried cod he’d ever had ( and he orders it most places we go ) , my glazed salmon was absolutely delicious but my fav was the crab fish cakes to start.if I had known how delicious they were I would never have shared them with hubby....next time he can get his own ! The atmosphere was lovely , very clean and the staff were very pleasant. Make sure to check it out if you are ever up that way !

The experience here was a total 5 star rating. The food and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere, settings and the view is second to none. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and definitely try the bread pudding dessert with rum sauce topped with ice cream!!!!

This was a fabulous lobster dinner fresh right off the dock and fresh caught fish for hubby. appetizers of cod tongues and crab cakes were so good we ordered one to go. We also had a blue ice burg drink and tried the local berry dessert. Fabulous service with delicious food and great waterfront view watching ice burgs. No local music yet to early in the year. Prices were good. we also stayed at the B n B accommodation Viking Village also owned by Terry which was excellent too with nice lounging area and kitchen and fridge to use. Walls are a bit thin but everyone respectful at bed time so not an issue nice living room to lounge and took the 2 hour iceberg tour next day as well and enjoyed all of it just dress really warm as they do go out into the open ocean and don't provide the thermal gear that other tours provide but no problem we dressed warm especially feet and hands. Do not hesitate absolutely great place to eat

Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere to the service, and then the food… oh my!! Everyone paused and just savoured their dish. We enjoyed scallops and shrimp (perfectly flavoured and cooked); pan fried cod (delicious); cod au gratin (out of this world). We all had to order dessert, knowing the main was so good; we had to try dessert. It didn’t disappoint… so delicious!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant 5/5 We had a wide assortment of seafood: the calamari was amazing and peppery, the fried fish was fresh and crunchy, the mussels in lemmony, garlicky broth were to die for, and the service was so friendly. We were also able to try local beer - with pints of amber-ale Ragnarok on draught! This was our first dinner in St. Lunaire-Griquet and if we have time we will be back, and if we don’t have time to be back this trip, we’ll definitely stop in next time we visit Newfoundland. :)

Our Senior's Discovery Tour took us to the Daily Catch in Lunaire, NL for Lunch. Its was crowded with standing room only, as one tour was departing before we could be seated. Forty four guests , servers took our orders, and the chef did his magic -- absolutely great food. As Mr Hedderson is the local fire chief we hoped he would not b e called upon to depart

Lovely venue on a pond. Fresh and clean interior. Delightful owner and staff. The menu was full of seafood options with local berry martinis and delicious desserts. Service excellent. And a folksinger was there with guitar and concertina with traditional songs and folk standards. The best by far, of the ones we tried, along the west coast of Newfoundland.

The food was so yummy and delicious that we actually ate there both nights that we were staying in St. Lunaire-Griquet. The chowder was superb and the fresh fish incredible, as were the salads and dessert. We had wonderful waitresses both times; so friendly and entertaining. We just loved the whole experience and would really recommend it to others.

Being a pretty good cook myself, restaurants typically have a tough time impressing me. The owner and staff did just that! Great food, perfectly prepared, with a warm and friendly vibe. What a great way to create a memory.

We were in this area for three nights and we ate at this restaurant twice. The food was outstanding, fresh veg, fresh crispy salad and the best cod I have tasted in a very long time. The portions were large so be careful what you order. The staff were the best of our whole trip. They were worth a great tip and more. The local music was wonderful, so don’t miss it. If you are in the area you must go there to eat. Make sure to book as it does get busy at the weekends . It’s worth the drive, believe you me.
