Monster Burger! Lunch on 20th November was a real belly buster! 'Monster Highwayman Burger' did not disappoint! A huge portion including the giant double burger with cheese and bacon, chunky chips, coleslaw, onions rings and a spicy tomato relish. £16 for the giant portion was...actually good value! Very friendly waiting staff and very welcoming on arrival. Will definitely go back. Always nice to enjoy a good burger every now and then!More

For some time The Highwayman has been providing the best pub food within the locale. Not a gastro pub and nothing adventurous. The kitchen sticks to what it’s best at and the generous portions are not at the expense of quality. The decor may be...looking a little tired but this is obviously not a time when many pubs will be looking at reinvestment. I wish The Highwayman every success in weathering the Covid storm.More

Wish I didn’t order starters as the meals are absolutely huge. Food was amazing and staff were very welcoming, especially Lucas who was very friendly and extremely polite.

We've been going to the Highwayman for years now and I'm happy to say it hasn't changed. The food , which is all homemade is probably the best Pub food I've had. I had Steak and Ale pie this evening and it was chunky, tender...in a rich Guinness gravy. That along with the best chunky chips ever ! My family had lasagne (it's they're absolute favourite) and it didn't disappoint! Rich, cheesy and with chunky chips. Beautiful setting and location with amazing staff and service. If you find yourself in Rhoose, Barry keep this Gem in mindMore

10/10 restaurant would highly recommend :) Firstly, the food is amazing! Extremely generous portions, deliciously seasoned, fresh and flavoursome food. Accompanied by friendly and attentive staff which made our visit at the Highwayman Inn easy and relaxing. They also offer both indoor and outdoor seating...so it was perfect for a hot day like today.More

Had not visited for a few years, was surprised to see that the inside and outside had been updated, although some of the old character seemed to have gone. The staff were very helpful, although on the day we visited the card machine wasn’t working...so we had to go and get cash. The meals arrived and I think mine was enough for three! Don’t eat before you go!More
