Strongly recommended restaurant in the Val d' Orcia area. We loved all dishes with truffles (in particular the 'pici'), the cheeses and the beef carpaccio.

This was probably the place where we had the best food during our trip to Tuscany. Both the starters, the first course and the dessert were really good. We had a starter with three choices (all excellent), the fiocchi di neve with mushrooms (also very...More
Really lovely meal at Ristorante da Ciacco and lovely experience overall. We ordered one course plus insalata mista (the best so far in our travels in Italy, lettuce, witlof, chicory, tomato). But with this was a welcome glass of Spumante, a pre dinner appetizer and...More

We spent a few days in the region and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant over lunch. Very generous with the truffle for the carpaccio and the pesto pasta was excellent. We repeated the order it was so good. Recommended if you are travelling in...More
Situated right on the main street, opposite Bar Central, this is a great find. Spaced tables, cool in summer, excellent service and superb pasta. We also enjoyed the Hake. House wines superb value. Lunch came to €25 a head.

After a few trials in Rome at the best recommended restaurants, my wife and I almost gave up hope on the "perfect pasta". We were proven wrong when we tried this restaurant. We ordered Pica pomodoro pasta and truffle spaghetti and were blown away...the pasta...More
We found the restaurant just as it opened 19:30 without a reservation, and managed to get a table outside on the pedestrian street, which were really lucky, as they normally don't have tables outside. Ask the waiters to put tables out, if not, as this...More
We have been visiting Italy every year now for well over 10 years and “La Taverna da Ciacco” is the one restaurant that we can absolutely recommend without the slightest equivocation. It is quite simply the best restaurant in the Val d'Orcia region, if not...More
