I'm probably adding a review that's just a small drop in the ocean, but this place is great. I've been meaning to visit for literally years. It didn't disappoint, from the service to the food itself. As a meat eater through and through, I can...More

This was our second visit here in recent months. The service was excellent again. The poppadoms were dry and crisp, with unusual and tasty dips. We went for the selection of starters to share and the chaat, which we felt was too much for 2...More

The dips that came with the poppadum were bland and watery which disappointed us initially. However, the main dish, we took the thali was sensational. The staff were so friendly and helpful, really looking after us. I live 200 miles away but will try to...More

This restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious, the service is second to none and the decor beautiful. Only downfall was that very small children were there and was it not for a baby crying persistently it would have been a fine dining experience pr...More

Had the pleasure of turning up as a solo diner at this restaurant in mid April without a booking or reservation. The place seemed busy, but I was made to feel very welcome and the staff did everything to make me feel at ease. The...More

If you tell them you wouldn't like any dish with peas they would make the thali that way. You can request the kind of dish that you would like to have. They usually keep guests request.

Terrible place. Conningly high prices. They charge the earth for making vegetables tasty. Will never return.
When will you be doing the mattat paneer again i always look for it but the menu seems to have changes simce i last visited... How often do you change the menu?

Response from veggie23 |
The menu changes are usually twice per year but depends on the chef, if you email me in advance on info at prashad when you are next coming then Minal can get the prep ready and cook matter paneer for you Bobby

Prashad is an award winning Indian vegetarian restaurant in the heart of West Yorkshire. It is based in a renovated pub building in Drighlington, which has been transformed into an intimate and vibrant Gujarati eaterie. It features a large bar area where the in-house mixologist serves up perfectly-matched cocktails, locally-brewed beers and wines with roadside snacks and Indian tapas. There are three different dining areas and a snug that can be individually booked for private parties. The open pass kitchen brings the passionate Head Chef and her team closer to the customers.

In the last 12 months alone we have been awarded the Morrisons Magazine Great Grub Award 2013, the Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2013 (which Minal and Kaushy won jointly), the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand 2014, and the Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards Best Indian Restaurant 2014!
