Great food, fresh and more than enough. Nice friendly place. More than enough seating and easy parking.

Being greeted with a warm welcome as well as very clean facility. Can't put a price on genuine people and this restaurant has that indeed. Ordered fish as it was prepared fresh and a generous portion. I have been back 3 times now and I...even had a friend drive all the way from Beaumont and she was not disappointed and she stated it was well worth the drive.More
Where do I start... Sigh. The St. Albert location started out good. A few years ago... Sadly the establishment has dwindled over the past couple years... I might even say "Tanked". Where do I start? Hmmmm. I asked for an order of clam strips and...fries... What did I get? Clam "BITS" and fries. WTF are clam bits? I'll tell you... Disgusting little pieces of left over poop from the sea. I asked the waitress what this monstrosity was and she smiled, "Clams and chips" I was sooo disappointed.... After finding out clams are a rare commodity I forgave them. Forward a few months... They offer what they claim to be a "Jigs dinner". It's a Sunday special. The portion was so small I asked for a side order of fries. Well... The best part of the meal was the glass of water. Erm... The turkey was OK. Super dry unless the sub par gravy was lathered upon it. 5 small cubes of salt beef were the main course. Almost all fat and sinew. Oh... The side of fries... A pool of grease... I couldn't eat more than a few. I felt ill even before I left the venue. I realize bad days happen and sometimes the kitchen "Poops the bed". I probably would visit again just because I am from "Down Home" However, The waitress who served us was quite rude and unapologetic. After I expressed my dislike for the food she quickly retorted "I don't care. We have other customers" Will never enter "Atlantic Kitchen" again.More
I've been here many times and their Fish & Chips have always been excellent, until yesterday 11th August when they were terrible. The fish was old and grey and didn't smell all that good, the chips were just as bad, they had clearly been reheated...probably from the previous day and were dry and hard. Won't be visiting again.More
My wife and I are both from the Maritimes and we have been returning to the Atlantic kitchen for years . We love the food , even off the shelves , the service and the atmosphere . We highly recommend it to Maritimers or people...who just like a good fish dinner .More
The fish is so fresh and their meals are plentiful! This is a very nice relaxing place where we have taken several friends and family. The staff are very friendly and are sure you are well taken care of.
We spent several years in the early part of this century traveling in Atlantic Canada and sampling the food there, so were interested in checking out the Atlantic Kitchen in St. Albert. We were not disappointed. We both had an order of fish and chips...- 2 pieces of cod, fries and cole slaw. The hand battered fish pieces were quite large, so we each took one home. Unlike previous reviews, the fish batter was crisp and not soggy, the fries were perfectly done and the cole slaw was good - perhaps not the kind of cole slaw others might expect. The service was efficient and pleasant (perhaps overly "sweet") but certainly prefer that to servers with a dour attitude. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience.More
We visited the Atlantic Kitchen twice in July. The fist time we had hamburgers and chips and gravy. The burgers were made like the ones we had growing up. Tasty , we had the mushroom and Swiss burgers. Very filling , great value. We went...back a week later for fish and chips and gravy. Another great meal. Staff very friendly, it feels like you’re transported back to the east coast. Definitely worth going there to eat if you’ve ever been to the east coast.More
Had fish and chips here for lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. I was originally thinking fatty fried fish and soggy fries but I was wrong. The batter was light, crispy and not oily. I had the halibut and was excellent. Homemade fries and gravy...were great. Overall a good meal topped off by attentive and friendly service.More
In the past ,I have enjoyed going to the restaurant in St Albert for some down home cooking. However on Sunday I went with my daughter for the Jiggs dinner, I understand that we are in the midst of unusual times (covid). however that does...not explain my experience there. I ordered my dinner at 4:02 pm then took my insulin as Y am diabetic. My daughter ordered clam chowder, and salad with oil and vinegar dressing. She was told they do not have oil and vinegar, than proceeded to bring us a white vinegar, and a malt vinegar, if they don't have oil, I have to wonder what they are frying the fish and chips in.At 4:45 when I had taken my insulin 41 minutes before I went and asked the waitress if we had been forgotten, she informed me that they were short staffed and my meal would be soon. I told here that a couple who had arrived after me had ordered clam chowder and mussels , been served ,payed , and left already. She delivered our order. Telling me to be careful as the plate was hot. When she left I saw that my jigs dinner was cold to the touch, and asked her to microwave it, she returned two minutes later with my dry jigs dinner cold dressing,no cranberries this time as they had been removed to microwave the plate. When she came by later to ask if it was better. I asked for some cranberries for the turkey, she returned with two packages. Because the time between my taking my insulin and receiving my dinner was in access of 40 * minutes my blood sugars had dropped to 4.2, not good. Not happy, she asked if we wanted dessert, and I informed that because of my low blood sugar some dessert was required, I got a blueberry cheese cake , then the bill. left a 15% tip which I thought was too much for the service but I always leave a tip. The waitress thanked us for coming in ,and said she would see us again, I don't think that will happen anytime soon.More
Went to the Atlantic kitchen with my wife and kiddo. All were happy. Fish and chips were good. Roast beef was good. Kiddos chicken fingers were good. The staff were very courteous. Would go there again. Sincerely, am East Coaster.
Average restaurant in a convenient location with average service, less than average food quality and a little higher than average prices. I had the fish and chips which was fishy tasting, very greasy and over priced. Neither of my friends had seafood but were also...not impressed with their food.More
Great service - didn’t have to wait at all, just walked in and had a table right away - big portions and the halibut was amazing! Service is fast and a chilled atmosphere. You can purchase merchandise in the store too.
We had the fish & chips and both were excellent. My haddock was a bit firmer than I like so I’ll stick to the cod next time. Hubby had the cod & it was outstanding. Just depends on your personal preference. Although it was deep...fried, it wasn’t greasy. What charmed me the most was the “general store” at the back. Of course we had to do some shopping for old favorites. Service was fast & friendly. I’d go againMore
Atmosphere is of down east Canada, and the fish and chips of any order was very good and I guess with todays prices, the dinners were reasonnaly prices.
