It was not our first visit and we are consistently appreciating this place. In particular last night we enjoyed the 'maigret de canard' and the peaceful atmosphere of the restaurant.

Lovely venue, friendly greeting, excellent simple food simply served with a south west influence based on duck. Busy night, waited unacceptably too long for desert order to be taken. Only two waitresses for a full restaurant. They did their best but I dozed off waiting! Wine menu needs expanding a little although Corsican red unusual but coiffable. Magnet de canard... More

My husband and I had heard positive comments about the restaurant and decided to try it on the spur of the moment. There were four other tables being used. We chose to share a pizza and salad , together with a half a liter of rosée , followed by two small coffees. On receiving the bill we found that the... More

L’Epàe d’Opio specialises in dishes from the south-west of France, in particular a cassoulet cooked in a wood fired oven, which is highly recommended. There are other dishes, but, frankly, we went there for the cassoulet and were not disappointed. For three the drinks were almost 40 euro and the food was a little over 60 euro, but we went... More

Nice covered terrace to eat with family, lots of options for all ages. Duck was terrific as advertised; tuna main was only ok. Pizzas good but perhaps rushed out of the wood oven a bit early to accommodate hungry kids? Fair prices. Might go back.

A very nice meal with friends. Duck cooked in the wood oven was lovely and the starter of Thai prawn was tasty A delightful waitress - the service is friendly and homely and welcoming. Sabayon framboise yummy too Only advice would be pretty it up and you'll be busier as the food deserves it being full. Umbrellas outside, pretty plants,... More

I like this place and have been there a few times. It specialises in duck (not a local speciality) and cooks most items on the menu in a wood-fired oven. This is by far the best way to cook duck. It is never advisable to cook a duck in a microwave, unless you want to turn it into a soul... More

Recommended by a local friend who lives nearby, this was one of our best restaurant experiences while visiting the sunny Cote d'Azur. Featuring many regional specialties and a love for all dishes with fois gras it's also noted for cooking with wood fired stoves and ovens. Does wood fired cooking make a difference? You try and decide for yourself. We... More
