After doing the ruins, this is the place to find. Not touristy. Simple, nice and tasty food. Well priced. Friendly staff and good service.

We were staying nearby in Ercolano and had tried to visit this highly rated restaurant a couple of times during our stay. But two times the door was locked when the restaurant is advertised online as open, not sure if that is the internet fault or they were just closed more then supposed. However, we were glad to try a... More

If you visit Herculaneum the choice for food is not great. this family run business serves local dishes to locals. it is around the corner from the site and the food is prepared freshly on the spot. we had great pastas.

This restaurant, which name I forget all the time, has a written menu.. Extraordinary. So you can study at ease on what you want. The waiter( I think owner? ) is very friendly and helpful. We drank a good wine( rosé ) and we had a good meal. The location is nice, so.. Worth a visit!

Whilst staying in the hotel down the road, we decided that instead of walking into the town, we would eat here. We were greeted by a gentleman and seated, and drinks and food orders were taken quickly. Despite having no English translation, the wife translated it for us, as best as she could, and even recommended us wines. The food... More

We went there as a family on two occasions for lunch. The quality of service depended heavily on your waiter/ess. The first time the waitress we had was very helpful. The second time the waiter was unhelpful and verging on unfriendly. Generally, food was of reasonable quality but the house wine was awful.

We went to this place with high expectations based on all the good reviews. However, we were bitterly disappointed. The waiter is unhelpful and unfriendly to say the least . The house wine is the cheapest wine and tastes like it has been watered it down. We've ordered a simple spaguetti pomodoro and it didn't taste fresh at all. To... More

Spotted Tubba Catubba on our first day (which was a Saturday) and we ate there on a lunchtime. As is common in Italy most restaurants that serve fresh food produce are mostly closed on Mondays and sometimes Sunday's when the food markets are closed. We had a specialty which is similar to pizza but definitely not pizza - I would... More

I came here with my wife because it was close to the hotel and the rating was quite good. We were very disappointed - the pasta was poor and the gnocchi was terrible. I would not recommend this place.
