I didn't knew anything about Carpi, first time to be here in this restaurant. As we are in a small place as would have expected simplicity and local cytology be met. I can tell you all is a pleasant surprise this place. Not fresh, decor is simple to local needs, but food is fast and delicious, service is friendly and... More

After reading the many good reviews, I just had to stop and taste the food by myself. This place offers a cuisine based on dry bread, huge quantities of parmesan and massive cubes of revolting mortadella of supermarket quality (ask them, they will tell you that they buy it at a local, low quality Italian supermarket). We got a dish... More

The place color dominate by clean white, the service is old style and very good . Great choice of wine and the food is everything you dream about Italy .

Nice place but decor could have been warmer. Food was good, well presented. Prices are reasonable. Wine was proposed by waiter and was a very good recommendation.

We arrived early and took our time. The service, wine and food at Il Barolino made for a fantastic welcome to Italy. Families with kids, groups of friends, business colleagues were all enjoying this place at neighboring tables.

I had been recommended this place several times when visiting Carpi, but as it is slightly off the beaten track in comparison with the city center you need a car or to take a taxi. We went there for lunch one day and this was indeed really good. Their Gnocci Fritti is delightful, and the nuggets of matured parmesan served... More

We were booked a table at lunch Il Barolino by the B&B we were staying at, making sure they had made their “lasagne”. A fantastic typical, local meal, welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. A starter of cold cuts with “gnocco fritto”, the lasagne, a salad with a delicious local Lambrusco. All for an extremely reasonable price. We will definitely... More
