In town visiting family and in search of a delicious cup of coffee and something to eat for lunch. I can happily say I found it at Dolce Verona! The coffee was awesome, the food I tried was delicious and the service was good. I...saw that they made pizzas on my first visit so I went back to pick some up for dinner a few days later. I had the Tomato Basil Pizza and it was excellent! The Hawaiian Pizza was ok, the pieces of ham were far too big, the cheese was too heavy, and the crust was soggy. The sweet treats I ordered with lunch were fantastic however the ones I chose on my second visit were not note worthy. The service on my second visit was fantastic. The person serving us was super nice and very professional. I will definitely be back!More

My husband and I went on a date night to Dolce Verona tonight and we were not disappointed. I give them a 20 out of 10 for service AND food. Our meal was absolutely the best we have ever had in the Northwest and the...service was amazing! We will definitely be returning (already made reservations for another date night).More

Fresh donuts straight out of the oven, yummy caprese sandwich that tasted just like the ones...we ate in Italy! This is our new favourite spot in KitimatMore

Knowing that the owner is Italian and serves up authentic meals and deserts is a bonus. It’s located in the same square as a grocery store and doctors office

I’ve been to Dolce Verona numerous times since they’ve opened and I’ve had nothing but friendly service and delicious food. There’s a good mix of hearty soups, healthy salads to savoury dishes and paninis. They also have meals that can cater to certain diets/restrictions such...as gluten free/dairy free and occasional keto items. Since the owner is from Verona (Italy) you can bet that their Italian themed dishes are absolutely delicious; and if you’re lucky enough to score one of their freshly made pizzas on a Friday night then you’ll be enjoying a little slice of Italy! Yum! Also, if you have young children there’s a small corner of the café sectioned off with toys so you can enjoy your coffee and watch your kiddos play just a few feet away from you.More

Dolce Verona makes excellent coffees. I am in love with the new lavender London fog. The biscottis are fantastic. Love the baked goods.. especially the pizza pretzel.

We were a party of 5 who came here for lunch. There is an extensive sandwich menu, but only three sandwiches were available when we were there. They also offer two soups and two salads. Along with coffee and a wide variety of desserts. The...sandwiches were good. Having to eat gluten free myself, I ordered one of their soups and a salad. They were good. My sons ordered desserts, one was a large chocolate cookie and the other was a large blueberry pastry. The restaurant was comfortable with part of it having a couch and padded chairs.More

Dolce Verona is the spiritual successor to Constant Cravings. With its nod to Italy and the town best known for being the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” one would rightly anticipate some delightful Italian-inspired treats. And there is some of that in the form...of Italian Pasta Salad, Ricotta scones and various pastas; however, there’s also a seeming hodgepodge of other flavours from American to French. The name is Italian . . . though little Italian . . . kind of like the signage hidden on a corner window. In my earlier review of Constant Cravings, I mentioned that I like it when you can see a building’s past in its present. That was certainly true of Dolce Verona’s predecessor, but it is even more true now. The ghosts of 528 Mountainview Square (unit 1) are all too present: “Doch’s Coffee Bar” signage – the predecessor to Constant Cravings – is still visible on the awning and so too is the “Constant Cravings” signage, the latter much more pronounced than the former. If you want to find the name of the current tenant, you’ll have to look to the far right window at a relatively small piece of yellow paper. For the sake of branding, I hope the “Dolce Verona” signage gets a bit more pronounced in the near future; otherwise, people might think they’re still visiting the former tenant. Then again, one wouldn’t be faulted for assuming they were visiting Constant Cravings: The atmosphere and setting of Dolce Verona is virtually identical; that is to say, one and the same. The food, too, is very similar, though I would argue that Dolce Verona is of slightly better quality taste-wise. The soups are inventive (and reasonably healthy) while the savories and sweets are better executed. Though I must emphasize that my comments here are only stating that Dolce Verona beats out Constant Cravings by a mere matter of degrees; the differences are subtle. Though one area where Dolce Verona far exceeds the prior tenant is in customer service. Sure, Constant Cravings had nice service, but the folks at Dolce seemed to go above and beyond – at least when it comes to ensuring everything is satisfactory. Indeed, that’s something I very much appreciate. FOOD: 3/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 3/5 RECOMMENDATION: I think, overall, Dolce Verona is a nice place to stop for a casual lunchtime repast. The selection is varied enough to appeal to a wide variety of tastes and the quality is, as I’ve said, pretty darn good for Kitimat. Thumbs up!
