Been here a few times. It’s not a great place to eat. Atmosphere is bar like. Guys, Guys and more dirty camp guys. It is more the tougher crowd. Lots of camp guys fill this place up. Not my favourite place to go. Food is...ok. Rather eat at home. I’ve been to a few paint nights here and it’s ok cause you come with girlfriends.More

The food here is great! It didn’t used to be the best but the last year or so it has gotten 100% better. Even the fish and chips was great. I didn’t expect that.

While I don’t understand the name of this place (I think its former name, “The Ol’ Keg makes more sense), there is no denying their claim that they are home to the “Best Homemade Pizzas” in Kitimat. The pizza pies are of a decent size;...taste fresh; and have ample toppings. In short, the flavours are all there. Now, to be clear, I’m not necessarily heaping praise on Chilly & Dancer when I say all of that. It’s just a simple truism – based wholly upon my own experience – that, overall, the pizzas here are better than elsewhere in town. The Bistro’s offerings are bland and uninspired while Pizzarama Pizzaria tastes almost like food court pizza. Thus, Chilly & Dancer almost win by default because the other two pizza places in town just don’t compare in any significant way. Prior to saying more on the food, I’d like to offer a brief comment on the physical space: I admit that I was initially a bit hesitant to come here based solely on the reviews I’d read online. When you see that a pub is rated at 2.5 stars and then come across comments like “dirty” and “whole atmosphere is kinda trashy,” it doesn’t fill one with a sense of excitement; rather, it’s more a sense of unease and foreboding. “What type of hole am I stepping into?,” we might think. Thankfully it seemed to me that much of the negative criticism was overblown (and two of the more recent negative reviews were written by the same person. Ex-employee, maybe?). My experiences at Chilly & Dancer weren’t negative. But then, I only ever did come for dinner in the early evening hours. Perhaps I missed the more rowdy or seedy crowd? Regardless, this pub never struck me unpleasant. The customer service was a bit hit and miss, but certainly far from offensive. Now back to the food. I mentioned above that this pub is home to the best overall pizzas in Kitimat. I stand by those remarks because the flavours are all quite good and are a far cry better than the competition; however, they do seem to suffer from a lack of consistency. My wings were fine but nothing remarkable both times. That’s not the issue. The problem comes from execution of the pizzas themselves. During my first visit, I ordered the “Chilly & Dancer Special,” which is basically a deluxe pizza. It was pretty superb. The ratio of pizza to toppings was spot on; the cheese was adequate and the toppings all tasted very fresh. Best of all? The pizza wasn’t greasy in the slightest. Fast-forward about a week later. I again found myself at Chilly & Dancer ordering more pizza. This time I kept it basic at pepperoni. When it arrived, I couldn’t help but notice how greasy it looked and how inconsistent the overall “cook” was around the crust. The flavours were all still there but the level of quality was a far cry from just one week earlier. For that reason, I rank this pub at 3 stars overall (though it’s really more of a 3.5, but TripAdvisor doesn’t allow for half star ratings). FOOD: 3/5 SERVICE: 3.5/5 VALUE: 3.5/5 RECOMMENDATION: Again, I readily admit my ignorance to how this pub operates late at night. For all I know, it could be as bad as some of the reviews suggest. That said, the pub struck me as clean (very spacious, modern with ample seating) and having a good selection of your standard pub fare. They highlight the pizzas as a signature item and I’d agree – they’re good; easily the best, overall, in Kitimat. Come for the pizzas and then, if you’re feeling adventurous, partake in karaoke night later on ;) PS: If you found this review helpful in any way please consider hitting the "helpful" button!More

The owner needs to back off and let the managers run the place. It also doesn’t help that you have horrible management running the place as well. The food is a huge disappointment to what it could be. The cooks don’t put love into what...they are making...and that is why the food there is always a huge fail. The owner tries to pay her staff little to no money at all.More

We were pleasantly surprised by the updated decor, and spacious seating area. This would be a great place for a large group or party. It was pretty much empty when we got there (around 8:30pm), but people were starting to come in when we left...around 9:30. The wait staff was friendly, and they kept the drinks coming. We did not have a chance to return, but definitely would have to try the food.More

The girls that work there are always yelling at you..It also doesn't help that they are all on drugs as well. The food is usually microwaved, and bathrooms are nasty. I would never, never, bring a girl on a date to this establishment. Who ever came...up with the new name "chilly and dancer's should really change it back to the ol keg.More

I made the mistake of entering the pub and ordered a hamburger and fries with a beer. Place is dirty and in need of a makeover, ever since the construction workers left the place went down the tube. Beer was cold and so was the...hamburger, made a great pair. Will give the place a miss until I hear better things.More

Cozy enough and the pizza is simply the best in Kitimat. I just wish they offered better selection of dark beer. Kronenbourg on tap would be totally complete this.

Really good sandwiches, hot wings are tasty (ask for plenty of sauce), stay away from the calimari, pizza will fill you up easily.
