Best chicken ever..... Don't bother ordering anything else. Its superior to any other chicken I have indulged in. A local gem. Been eating here and ordering take out since 2010 so good!

This is the second time this has happened. They told me it would be 45-60min max for a delivery It took 90min. They also forgot all my sauces and then on top of that all the pop I ordered was warm from being in the...same bag. The only good thing was the chicken was at least cooked all the way thru this time (last time it wasn't).I called to complain and it was busy. So I called again. And it rang for 5 min. I called again and again and again. It took 6 calls and about 15 min to get ahold of them. It was busy the first time so she was obv ignoring me. The worst part is that this used to be a great restaurant. Never order from here.More

Came in based on a friends recommendation. Older place set back in the strip mall. Ordered a 3 piece chicken lunch for $15. Good chicken with nice crisp. Received a wing, drumstick and back. Would have thought I'd get a thigh or breast for that...price. Thought it was expensive for what I got. The 4 potato wedges were mush and I ended up leaving them. Service good.More

Got the chicken wings which were quite good. The fish and chips were over cooked. Not sure I'd go again.

You’ll forgive me if, when I see a restaurant with the name “Pedro’s,” I automatically assume it specializes in Mexican cuisine. Indeed, this was my initial thought as I happened upon this eatery’s rear entrance (just behind the local DQ). Thus, when I entered, you...can understand my surprise to learn that Pedro’s isn’t Mexican at all – far from it. Instead, they’re basically a “family restaurant” that happens to specialize in chicken . . . Chester’s Fried chicken, to be exact. Cuisine confusion notwithstanding, I can say that Pedro’s is, in my humble opinion, one of the better eateries in Kitimat. So much so, in fact, that it represented only one of 3 establishments that I bothered returning to in 2019 after a 10-month absence. What can I say, the chicken is just that damn good. And on that note, I probably should explain something. Pedro’s doesn’t just serve your ordinary fried chicken. As noted above, they proudly serve “Chester’s Fried.” And in case you missed that point, don’t worry because it’s plastered all over the main entrance, the walls and even in the menu. Seeing the “Chester’s” logo all over the place, when I first visited this restaurant in 2018, made me feel like I should know something about the brand. Thank goodness for Google. A quick search revealed to me that Chester’s Fried Chicken traces its origins to Alabama in 1952 when a man named WO Giles started the Chester’s business, originally frying donuts. The fried chicken started in the mid-1960s and franchising only began fairly recently, in 2004. What makes Chester’s fried chicken stand out from all the rest – KFC, Church’s – is the “secret family recipe and the process of double breading each piece of chicken to ensure a crispy outside and a tender, moist inside.” Sure, that’s what the propaganda material says, but I can attest to its accuracy 100%. The fried chicken and accompanying scojos at Pedro’s is bar-none some of the best I’ve had. It’s made fresh to order and makes use of the Chester’s brand and process. The end result? Chicken that blows its nearest competitor out of the water. It really does make me wish there were more of these franchises around the Province. Besides chicken, Pedro’s, as I said, is basically a family style restaurant. Thus, you can get things like burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish & chips and even Wonton soup. On my most recent visit, along with a couple pieces of chicken, I decided to try their deep-fried cod. On the menu it is humbly described as “the best fish & chips” and is served with “franch fries.” Hilarious menu typos aside, I have to be honest. Much like Rosario’s (who describe their halibut & chips as the best “in the north”), the fish at Pedro’s was FAR from the best; in fact, it was pretty average overall BUT I will say one thing about it . . . at least it was better than the aforementioned restaurant. During each of my visits, service was both very prompt and friendly. I get the sense that the servers who work here must get bored – at least during the afternoon hours. Each time, almost without fail, they’ve engaged me in long conversations when I’ve gone to satisfy my bill. Last year when I visited, the server talked on and on about how Kitimat used to be so much busier when LNG was being talked about and that “maybe it will start again.” Ten months later, I got much the same thing, only the tone was a bit more hopeful, so yay! FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: As I’ve noted elsewhere, Kitimat isn’t exactly a hotbed for fine cuisine. Heck, it isn’t even really a hotbed for decent cuisine; however, Pedro’s is an exception to that rule. Sure, their alleged “best” fish & chips is nothing special, but most people don’t come here for that – they come for the chicken. And the chicken is damn good. I know people from Prince Rupert will drive to Terrace for KFC and I think that’s kind of funny. Sort of along the same vein, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if people from Terrace drove to Kitimat for the chicken at Pedro’s – now that I could fully understand. A small restaurant which is great if you want a deep fried chicken meal or comfort foods. I ordered salad as they don't have gluten-free But, I had an excellent Greek salad. It is tucked away in the City Centre shopping centre. Go in back...door from the alley behind the Dairy Queen. I think the locals utilize the pickup service a lot. Not good for gluten-free. The deep fried calamari at the next table looked delicious! Staff are very friendly.More

Best chicken nuggets on the planet. The restaurant is too expensive for what you get though, but that's like anything in Kitimat nowadays.

We enjoyed the all you can eat Chinese Buffet they offer on Monday and Tuesday, 5pm and on. It was excellent. Nice selection and everything tasted great. Price was Ok at $20 per adult, $11 for kids. Not bad since in this booming town its...tough to get a sandwich for under $15.00More
