Had to wait 20mins. Rose sat myself and my wife at the bar. The girls never stopped. The food came, cooked to perfection. Rose knows everyone and how they like their food. Service was first rate. Great meal, first rate service

Fish and chips were two small pieces over cooked and barely any fries, with a small portion of cold slaw. $29.00 won't be going there again.More

Busy, friendly diner, with a food selection of dishes. The beer choice is great, as was the food..... we eat here about 4 times on a business trip. Always bustling..... something for everyone to choose from A great Burger, Halibut and chips to old favorites...like Liver and Onions.....More
this was the worst experience ive had at rosarios. i order takeout one .night. because im starving after working a 13 hr shift. hadnt eaten in 12 hours, wanted some comfort food. i open my box and guess what i see. a piece of metal...perched in my chicken strip. like the end of a hoodie string peice of metal. i am disgusted in this and wont be coming back.More
I was in Kitimat for work. I was told it was a must to stop and eat at Rosario's Restaurant. They definitely didn't disappoint. I placed an order to go, I ordered the Sweetheart Salad and the Prime Rib Burger. Once I placed my order...it took only 20 mins before I was able to pick it up. The servers were wonderful, friendly and attentive from the moment I walked through the door. Each server (I'd say 3) who passed me to get to the kitchen asked if I had been helped. I would definitely recommend and this will be my go to spot next time I'm in town.More
I sat down, took my mask off, and the next thing I new the server was 2 feet from me,, with no mask. I understand people have different sensibilities, but I didn't like being exposed like that. Clearly the owner doesn't really care. Multiple times...I saw the owner of the place constantly wiping her nose while she was working with utensils, and servers having conversations 6 inches from each others faces. If you want to expose yourself to covid fine, but when serving me, at least keep 6 feet OR wear a mask, which I believe is common practice in most restaurants these days.More
We appreciate your support and concerns. Thank-you
Good food and good service. Only problem is No reservations and it gets crowded fast but worth the wait.More
Thank you for your review. We DO take reservations. We recommend people make reservations to avoid disappointment. In this industry we find that people tend to come in at the same time making it busy for the first half hour or so. We understand how...More
Kinda sad pizza. Very thin crust which was great but Probably only a 1/2 cup of cheese on the whole large pizza. My side was a ham & pineapple ... there was 8 pineapples on half the large pizza. Will be making our own pizza...at home from now on.More
As far as going out for Breakfast this summer, it was amateur hour. How hard is it to do poached eggs? Apparently really hard everywhere; except for Rosario's that is. And they do a decent job on scrambled eggs as well. We were given the...option of green onions with our hash browns (we declined). When it comes to breakfast, there are definitely not amateurs.More
I went in and was told to sit anywhere. I had a seat and watched as 3 other parties entered, sat down and were given silverware. They looked at me, knew I was there, and no silverware, approach for drink.... nothing. I thought I’d google...other restaurants in the area and if they got to me before I found a nice different place I’d stay. Found the Chalet online and got up and left without any acknowledgement. Just really bad.More
I’m so sorry MJ that you had a negative experience here. We definitely do not want to see anyone leave because of poor service. We are going though, like everyone else in town, a transitional period of loosing staff to bigger companies. The staff you...More
Good food, great pizza. Nice ambience, good service. Favorite place to go in Kitimat. Always able to get a table even when busy.
We all had different entrees off the menu. And all four of us agreed that our meal was delicious. Price was reasonable. Large parking lot. Nice atmosphere inside.
Super friendly staff. Great fish and chips! Get the garlic cheese fingers as an appetizer, simply super! Does take out too!
I really don’t. After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this place on TripAdvisor and Google, I did think I’d be in for a “meal [. . .] to remember;” however, nearly everything I’ve tried at Rosario’s has been dancing on the precipice of mediocrity....The burgers? Pretty standard – certainly not offensive by any means, but hardly memorable, either. The wings? I admit they’re decent, but you can get similar quality wings at other establishments in town. The halibut? Well, I’ve tried two versions – the baked halibut with baby shrimp and the “fish & chips.” For me, the baked halibut was good. Actually, it’s easily the best thing I’ve had at Rosario’s. The halibut was cooked nicely – juicy – and the accompanying sauce worked well with the delicate natural flavours of the halibut. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and added some nice colour to the plate, but I did feel like the rice was a bit of an afterthought. And how was the halibut & chips? Admittedly, when an establishment advertises that they have “The Best Halibut Fish & Chips in the North” expectations are – quite naturally – going to be very high . . . especially if one has sampled halibut & chips all over the North (and elsewhere). My verdict? “meh.” The serving of halibut is generous but, overall, the dish is just very unremarkable. The batter, while not greasy, had a bread-like consistency, which isn’t very appealing when it comes to fish and chips. The halibut was also a bit dry. Best in the North? Far from it. Mumford’s is better. Dolly’s is better. Charter’s is better. You get the idea. I don’t know – maybe I’m missing something? Trying the wrong dishes? I’ve visited this establishment probably more than any other in town to see if I can find an item on the menu that blows my proverbial socks off but to no avail. The only major items I haven’t tried are the pasta and pizza – but given the average cuisine I’ve had thus far I’m not exactly motivated to return. At the end of the day I think the high percentage of very positive reviews caused my standards to be a little too high; I mean, Rosario’s doesn’t serve bad food. It’s decent comfort food. And when it comes to cuisine in Kitimat, I think that in and of itself is a decent standard. Now, a brief comment upon the service: In short, I agree with what a fair number of recent reviews have said. Service is friendly but slow. Often times, I’ve had to wait an extended time just to satisfy my bill. During my last visit, the servers were too distracted openly talking about their tips (oh my). FOOD: 3/5 SERVICE: 3/5 VALUE: 3/5 RECOMMENDATION: Well, as noted, Kitimat isn’t exactly a hot spot for decent cuisine; however, Rosario’s is certainly decent enough and, importantly, they’re consistent in their food delivery. The menu, with its focus on classic comforts, is wide enough to satisfy any number of tastes but isn’t so wide so as to compromise overall quality. Mild recommendation. I drive past the place everyday and was thinking I need to check it out....so I did. The service was a little slow to begin with but that was sorted out quickly enough. The beer selection is great and had the wings and a pizza...🍕. Food was no hassle, tasty and enjoyable. Worth goons indeed. I’ll be back.More
