The Consulate is quite a fancy restaurant. With about 15 tables it was small and cozy. Fireplace going, Christmas decorations and low lighting it was very warm and pleasant. Service was 50/50. One girl seemed like she didn't want to be there and was quite...More

We went here for our second anniversary dinner. The food is excellent and the atmosphere itself is very classy. Small little restaurant so you want to make sure you have a reservation. On the pricier side, but a good place to take your date!

We were there in May for my friends 40th bday. Place is gorgeous. Surroundings are calm and naturally scenic and the lake is great to too. The food, however, is sub par. Our meat was COMPLETELY RAW!!!! No one could eat it. It was more...More

My wife and I also enjoy attending their specialty dinners, or going there for dinner with friends. The menu offers a good choice of options and the wine list is good. I would recommend this for a nice night out.

We went to the Consulate for my birthday in August, and the food was very good. That particular day there was a wedding and I believe they may have been under-staffed, but since we were eating outside, we weren't overly concerned by having to wait...More

I have been to dozens of GTA banquet/Reception Halls and Event Spaces for various events, receptions and parties. Some were custom built with 60 foot ceilings, beautiful chandlers, fabulous toilettes, etc. and others were more modest industrial units converted to banquet/resorption facilities. The Consulate claims...More
