We were lucky enough to be there while a live band played in the evening and the orchard opened for "pick your own" the next day. Sarah was very helpful in directing us as to where we could park our trailer. Lorne took us on...the hayride the next day for the apple picking. The wood fired pizza for dinner was fresh, hot and tasty. The ciders were refreshing. The location was great.More

Nice little pit stop for a cold cider and some home made food. The mini fries were worth a try ….. best when the chutney was mixed through. Lots of tables and space. Lots of cider to try and buy.

We had lunch at Sprit Tree on a beautiful October afternoon, the weather was a bit chilly and it drizzled a little, but the patio heater warmed us up. The ambience is warm and casual and was perfect for our girls day out. Our server...was super friendly and made sure we were well looked after. The hot apple cider was delicious and warmed us up as we waited for our food. We had the soup of the day, petite charcuterie board, autumn gemelli pasta, salad and eggplant sandwich. The eggplant sandwich and pasta were delicious, the salad was decent. The charcuterie board was a bit sparse on cheese and meats, just one small wedge of cheese and few slices of salami. There was a lot of bread, which although delicious, filled up the board. For the price of the board (23$), I think there should be atleast a couple of varieties of cheese and meats. The menu has vegan, gluten friendly options as well, so there is something for everyone. It is not a vast selection though, and I am not sure if they rotate the menu frequently, but if I was a regular visitor, I would like to try some new options each time. Next time I will visit in the evening and try the wood fired pizza. We also stopped by the store and picked up some artisan breads. Overall, a lovely place to chill with friends and family, we will be back for sure.More

Sept 18th we met friends for a get together at Spirit Tree. We started out with a short flight of ciders and the Tempura Maple Leaf's. The cider and the Maple Leaf's were quite good, although our friends would not order the leaf's again. I...thought there were a unique item and would have them again. We went on the meal and others ordered Pasta, Quiche, Grilled Cheese while I ordered the Charcuterie Small Board. The other meals were enjoyed by our group. Back to the Board. When it arrived I was not sure I could complete, as the breads portions were quite large. While the breads were all good, I was very disappointed in the single selection of meat and single selection of Cheese that came with the board. I noticed the picture of the board looks excellent, that is not what I recieved. It may have been an off day and supplies had run out before lunch time, but I noticed there were other kinds of meat for sale in the retail departments. A suggestion to check with the server before ordering this selection.More

Had a nice Saturday afternoon trip after visiting Cheltanham Badlands. There are park benches in the front to sit and snack the food and drinks bought from the store.

We didn’t actually eat in but took a slice of focaccia pizza and ate on the picnic benches under a warm sun with a cool breeze. Lovely day to be out in the country. We selected this huge slice of delicious looking focaccia pizza with...lots of goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes and chicken. I asked when she was wrapping it to go if it was warmed, she assured me it was. Of course we found out otherwise, it was really just room temperature. So no melting cheese experience and I wonder how long the chicken was at room temp. The bread itself was delicious. I have always enjoyed their food, breads, baked goods, quiches etc. Previous indoor dining has also been excellent. Perhaps this is just a “one of”. We will still go back. Perhaps she was new and didn’t realize it should have been warmed, at least that’s how we would have enjoyed it much more. Many other guests were enjoy their lunches outdoors under huge tents.More

We are 5 adults that went to Spirit tree for Pizza night and live music on Aug 21. We had reservations outside in the picnic area. We were seated and waited for about 20 minutes for a server, when none arrived we flagged one down...and asked if they could send someone over we were told " we are understaffed"? A server finally came to our table and took our drink and appetizer order stating she had just started and wasn't sure if she was to serve our table or not. Water was served to the table in a bottle with 5 solo cups, there was only enough water to fill each cup about 1/4 full. Appetizers arrived our server returned and we asked what one of the spreads was on the charcuterie board we ordered she said "try it and find out", great response very helpful. We ordered 2 large pizzas and a buffalo chicken sandwich. about a 20-minute wait and our server brought the chicken sandwich and apologized she had only brought the sandwich but it was a long walk. My son wanted to wait to eat the sandwich until we had the pizza's but after about 10 minutes with no return or acknowledgment from our server, he decided to go ahead and begin eating his now cold meal. about 10 minutes later our pizzas arrived and he was finished his sandwich. The Pizza was worth waiting for and was excellent. Once finished our meal and after sitting at a picnic table for about 11/2 hours we wanted a box for extra pizza and our bill. After asking the hostess for our bill to which she said she would send our server over about 15 minutes past still waiting, 3 servers were standing in an area having a nice talk so I approached and asked directly for our bill. Finally, a server not ours brought the bill and remote payment device I paid with a credit card and after inserting the card the server had to walk around holding it in the air trying to receive a signal. The Spirit Tree is an excellent concept and with some attention to customer service and adding more searing could be an absolutely fantastic place to go for a nice summer's evening but until this happens, unfortunately, we will not be back and will certainly tell all who will listen not to go.More

We have been to this restaurant and bakery many times over the past few years but things have changed. We had dinner reservations last night for2. When we arrived the greeter told us we would be eating outdoors. The tables were picnic style and there...were lots of children running around. Our reservations did not ask us if we wanted outdoors and once booked, there was no mention of that we would be seated outdoors. We told the greeter that we wanted to be indoors. She replied that the only table they had open was for 1/2 hour later and was reserved. I asked how that reservation differed from ours. She said no difference. The system made the assignments and she could not move things around. We left the restaurant without dining. It appears that customer service is no longer important to them.More

I love the area and going hiking on a weekly basis. We have always stopped by to get lunch. The food was fairly good. My kids liked the fresh baked goods. The kiln baked bread was top notch. UNTIL a few weeks ago.. We purchased...several loaves that were not pre bagged on the sleeves. BIG MISTAKE- When we unpacked the loaves- they were ALL mouldy A few weeks later we again purchased bread straight out of the oven and the loaves were great as usual. BID PROBLEM- today we bought several loaves of bread asking for the loaves that were next to the oven. Upon opening the bags at home -- BINGO __ all mouldy bread.- I will not be buying any bread from Sprite tree- very sad situation.More

Date of visit: Saturday, November 14th, 2020 We have visited this place many times before Covid, and we were unsure how things would be during a LEVEL RED restrictions during the pandemic. We were pleasantly surprised how they have adapted. One way traffic throughout store/market...to ensure minimal contact. The baked goods are phenomenal - everything is made on site, is fresh and delicious. the butter tarts are fantastic - and they will be featured on our #Buttertartquest. Cinnamon buns, and scones are delightfully full of flavour. There is a little market of fresh produce, cheese, eggs, milk and meats. They have a stone pizza oven where you can order one of their delicious pizza options made fresh to order - they are spectacular, btw. oven fresh baked bread , a cafe, and much much more. Outside there are many picnic tables in a cute setting, and a covered (tented) dining area that has propane heaters. You will love a visit to this place, and if you love #buttertarts like we do - tell them Roguetrippers sent you.More

The cidery is still trendy and unique even though it has become a bit pretentious lately. It can be found at the end of a nice country drive and is a pleasant destination for an outing game friends and family. They tend to use the...same pastry dough for every confection they make and although tasty, it sometimes gets tiresome. Having said all that ...... we visited recently and they are focusing on pleasing customers and profit rather than safety during this difficult COVID epidemic. They promise to limit customer numbers in the store and instead pack people in so closely that maintaining physical distancing is impossible. Checkout and POS terminals are so close customers are almost touching. Sanitation and disinfection protocols and activities are not present. We usually enjoy visiting but on this occasion it was so uncomfortable we probably won’t return soon. The owners should be ashamed for putting $$$ before people.More

I have eaten here several times in the past. In September a friend and I met again there. I was shocked to see the number of cars in the parking lot due to Covid 19 but knew we had a reservation for the patio. After...ordering the wait staff came and apologized 4 times for the delay in the order. This was a Thursday lunch. We were there more than 2 hours because it took so long to get our meal. We watched tables come and go. I think they clearly do not have enough kitchen staff to deal with the customers they are serving. The final insult was that when I unwrapped the cutlery, the fork had something green that had dried on the surface. Someone wrapped it up in a napkin when it did not come out of the dishwasher clean. The wait staff was very pleasant and apologetic but there was nothing she could do to speed up the service.More

Girls outing, nice patio location and the service was okay. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers because the mains were horrible. I had quiche and it was slimy...not cooked well enough, the salad was a handful of dried "mixed greens" out of a plastic container. I...ate maybe 2 bites, I told the server It was horrible and she asked if I wanted something else; I said no. She never offered to discount my bill and I still gave her a good tip but I will not be going back. My friends ordered the pulled jerk chicken which was basiclly bbq sauce not jerk sauce served with dried up burnt french fries. We were told no pizza until 4 pm but when we went into the store after they had pizza. Not sure what that was about. If you really want to check this place out....order a cider and some appetizers.More
