We accidentally found this cafe as we tried to get to the lava cave of the peninsula!
What a great swisscafe(Chocolate+Espresso drink) and dessert! Beautiful ocean view, and seagulls to watch! friendly staff!
Situated in a dramatic setting, one of the prettiest cafe views out there. Food was simple but good. The hot chocolate was really nice and we had the quiche and sandwiches. Lovely owner and service! Do drop by for a relaxed lunch or coffee.
Had a nice stop after hiking between villages along the volcanic rock coastline. Ordered two licorice and mint teas and split a cake. Quality was very good and the service was good. Happy with the visit.
Local cuisine. Great taste. Homemade to order. All food in Iceland is expensive but priced within reason for area. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Cozy & traditional sitting areas. Would gladly eat there again!
We absolutely loved this cafe in Hellnar and were so happy we decided to stop on our way through.
Beautifully quirky inside with lots of old pictures and a great terrace if it's sunny! Staff were so friendly too.
We were the only ones there...apart from a lovely young British couple who were working in the hotel round the corner and stopped to chat to us.
As it was mid afternoon, we only tried the homemade deserts and coffee and they were absolutely delicious - the happy marriage cake came with a huge dollop of cream and hubby said his strawberry meringue with cream was heaven! Prices are high but that is just typical of Iceland - you can't say no to cake and coffee!!More
