We stopped here en route and received a cheerful and friendly welcome. The food was good honest café food; tasty and satisfying - soup and sandwich was good as was the Tuna Pasta Bake (hubby liked the chips with it too!). The staff were also very helpful when I had trouble finding a wedding card and came to guide me... More

We have visited twice now and both times have been served without any engagement or enthusiasm. A large sign on the counter states 'scone with jam and clotted cream'. When ours arrived with jam and butter I was told that they offered three different options - not that I was told this at the time of ordering or could find... More

Often call here for a pit stop, and have never been disappointed. Food and drinks of excellent quality. All under the personal supervision of the owner. Good selection of gifts and cards. A very clean and tidy place, which gives one comfort regarding overall standards. Canalside seating available to watch the boats go by whilst enjoying a meal.

We have been going to the cafe at the Craft centre for many years, the food is nothing too exciting but it's always fresh and tasty, ideal for a quick lunch! The choice is good although the soup never changes, it's been the same old vegetable soup for years. When we first started going there was a different variety every... More

Whilst walking the Lancaster Canal we stopped here for tea and scones. Good quality and lots of cups of tea from the teapot. Sat outside as we had the dog and its a very pleasant to sit and chat. Exceptionally clean and good variety of maps, cards etc.

Have often called in here for a "pit-stop" - liquid refreshment and snacks. Always excellent food and drinks. Polite and efficient service. Very reasonably priced. A stand out feature is the cleanliness of the whole establishment, which gives one a lot of comfort regarding the quality of the operation. A good selection of books, cards, and interesting items to buy.... More
