We were given a voucher 6 months from a friend for this place, so we went before it expired. Glad we did - been to llantwit major loads of times but never ventured to this part of the town.
We went through all the covid.../ ppe checks. Ordered food - 3 meals , one steak, one pasta dish and a house burger and chips.
Ryan (I think) was the person who took the order. All the staff we met were lovely. A real home style bistro pub. A mix of families, singletons, families with dogs, who were all sat outside.
Food was on the table in about 25 minutes. It was really really nice. We like simple(ish) done well - and this is exactly what we got. It was about £50 3 meals, 3 drinks, and shared pudding. Then walked it off on the beach afterwards.
And yes - we will be coming back.
We have previously been to the conway some years back - and decided then we wouldnt bother with it again - mainly due to the staff and lady manager with red hair, who actively seemed to not want to serve or even be there. Maybe we'll try there as well next time - perhaps the knife and fork Co have sorted these issues out.
The Black Swan if you get a chance - book a table and go - they deserve and want your custom.More
