Very good procedures to keep patrons safe. Service is excellent. Food was amazing, I had a brilliant steak, chips and all the trimmings. Partner had the pie, mash and veg, which he loved. Cannot recommend the Swan and their staff enough.

Stopped off for a quick lunch and was delighted to see that the Swan Inn was open. A lovely little pub with a nice choice of menu. Our lunch was outstanding and the customer service was spot on. Family highly recommends the goat cheese starters...and the beef burger, and my cheese and chutney baguette was divine. It was rainy, so unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of the sizeable beer garden. Covid 19 regulation was fully complied with and we felt extremely comfortable. Definitely a place we will visit again soon.More

We were given a voucher 6 months from a friend for this place, so we went before it expired. Glad we did - been to llantwit major loads of times but never ventured to this part of the town. We went through all the covid.../ ppe checks. Ordered food - 3 meals , one steak, one pasta dish and a house burger and chips. Ryan (I think) was the person who took the order. All the staff we met were lovely. A real home style bistro pub. A mix of families, singletons, families with dogs, who were all sat outside. Food was on the table in about 25 minutes. It was really really nice. We like simple(ish) done well - and this is exactly what we got. It was about £50 3 meals, 3 drinks, and shared pudding. Then walked it off on the beach afterwards. And yes - we will be coming back. We have previously been to the conway some years back - and decided then we wouldnt bother with it again - mainly due to the staff and lady manager with red hair, who actively seemed to not want to serve or even be there. Maybe we'll try there as well next time - perhaps the knife and fork Co have sorted these issues out. The Black Swan if you get a chance - book a table and go - they deserve and want your custom.More

This would appear to be a busy pub but managing all the rules appropriately. We were attending a wedding the following day and wanted to eat the evening before. There were a lot of us but appropriately sat according to family groups and they were...clear about the rules not to mingle with which we were happy to comply. Staff made us feel safe and the food was very good ( they did make a mistake with one order - but generously didn’t charge for that meal) . The chips were amazing ! Staff were working very hard to be helpful and seemed to genuinely care about their customers. Would recommend 😊More

We were very nervous about returning to the pub after shielding, but at the Swan we all felt incredibly safe. The extremely friendly, polite staff were wearing face masks at all times, and tables were sanitised as soon as customers left. Can’t wait to return...for Sunday lunch :)More

Six of us stopped off here for lunch today. First visit to this pub and it certainly won’t be our last . Food was very impressive. Three of us went for the Fish and Chips. A generous serving of fish arrived cooked in a light...batter served with chunky chips, pea purée and what appeared to be a homemade tartare sauce. Very tasty. The other three had a selection of burgers and filled baguettes. There were six clean plates on the table and six happy customers. Staff were friendly and all necessary measures were in place for Covid. Pub was spotlessly clean too. A very enjoyable lunch, we will be back!More

Was very disappointed with take away fish and chips this evening ... chips looked like they had been refried so over cooked and dry .... purée peas not sure what was in it but no taste of peas, tartare sauce looked like they could not...be bothered to dice pickle up small and was in chunks ... batter well what can I say and thicker and less crunchy it would have been a damn pancake ... had to peel skin off .... would I recommend ... no not anymore ... always had good food there before so not sure what or who is cooking their food anymore !More

Good morning. We were sorry to hear of your disappointment with the fish and chips. There were no changes to our kitchen team that evening so we are at a loss as to how this can have happened. Please do get in touch with me...More

Despite coronavirus restriction this was a delight. Great beer, served carefully and efficiently. Will be back!

Within this quaint village nestled around a triangular centre the Old Swan called us for a brief thirst quenching drink. The bar staff were friendly, efficient and took social distancing seriously. As soon as patrons departed the serving host thoroughly cleaned the table and seating...areas. When the rain made a whimsical appearance umbrellas were duly opened. We sat in the beer garden so I cannot comment about inside. If in the area it is well worth a visit.More

Good evening. It's not essential, however it would be advisable, otherwise you may have to wait for a table. Certainly the end of the week gets very busy. Kind regards.
