Went out of our way to visit for lunch to find a note on door saying closed until 6pm such a shame, but found somewhere else to eat locally and was not disappointed.

Nice old pub with character, but a bit short of stock and drink options. While the pub had charm it was tired, quiet and a bit short of atmosphere. Had baguettes and chips for lunch which were cooked fresh and tasted good.
