This was a good meal at a reasonable price. The service was pleasant if slow to start. We had salmon and it was delicious . Bread and butter was good too really fresh and crusty. The menus was In my mind limited as I would have liked steak. The pasta was mostly parcels with different fillings. No spaghetti. Overall a... More

The food and the selection of wines are good. The service could be better, we waited for a long time before someone come to take our orders. We went there twice and we had a good time at Del Borgo. Besides, the restaurant is beautiful and charming.

Beautiful food in a beautiful part of Borgo. We didn't has a reservation and this wasn't a problem for them. We had a great martini at the bar and it felt very relaxed, they don't rush you which is nice

Stopped in twice during my visit to Malta, once for dinner and once for a late night glass of wine, and enjoyed both experiences. I just took the waiter's recommendation of the bragioli -- told him I wanted something Maltese -- and enjoyed it immensely. Service was attentive and quick but not rushed: never felt either ignored or hurried, which... More

Contemporary and smart restaurant. Great service and nice bar area for a pre dinner drink, great and reasonably priced wine list, we chose the Celeste - excellent. Lovely starters and much choice, many tempted, we shared the tempura and calamari - brilliant and lovely dips to accompany. Main, went for the ribs and these too were excellent, so tender. Potato... The atmosphere is unrivalled under the ancient vaults: one of the thickest wine lists we have seen and a nice menu make a perfect (romantic) dinner. Do not skip this place - or the Maltese Melquart cabernet sauvignon & merlot wine.

Usually this place is quite good but last night it was quite a disappointment. We were a table of 12 ppl for a friend's birthday. We ordered maltese platter to start off with, and funnilly enough we had to ask twice for the waiter to bring us over some fresh bread and water biscuits, then the main course - that's... More

Del Borgo is the great venue for a person looking to have some fine wine and appreciate the historic architecture of Birgu and Malta. The place itself feels and looks like an old cellar. They have a vast choice of wines, albeit maybe a bit pricey. The staff were friendly enough, although the choice of music (pop club tracks, seriously?!)... More

Romantic wine bar ideal for couples. The food is nothing special and the wine is over priced. The staff are not polite. We enjoyed the fact that our table was out of the way and it was quiet.
