I discovered this restaurant a decade ago. Returned last week for the first time in 12 years, hoping my memory had served me accurately. It certainly did! My dinner at Le Viscos last week was the best meal I had the entire week-long trip. Each dish is a delicious surprise. The Chef is so wonderful! He came to my table... More

We recently had the 49 eu option for lunch and it was exceptional value - effectively (with 'extra' courses not mentioned in the menu) 6 courses not including coffee. This is the best cooking in a very wide area (up to and including Tarbes). The "OEuf fumé surprise, émulsion aux champignons des bois et des près" stood out for me,... More

I have been traveling to France for 18 years from the US and seek out great food in France. I have had some really good meals, and horrible, but nothing that compares to Le Viscos. The Master Chef took our order, the view outside on the patio was perfect and the food was great. I would say without a doubt... More

It is such a pleasure to have a lunch or a dinner in this famous restaurant. Obviously it's the best one in the neighborhood.

Our party of four well-travelled gourmets, one of whom had dined here 20 years ago, were not disappointed. The owners are very welcoming and the restaurant is a successful blend of elegance and comfort. The chef took our orders himself, explaining every dish in detail. The 29€ menu represented excellent value with an amuse-bouche, three courses plus a delicious pre-dessert... More

This warm, fabulous restaurant, is a delightful surprise in this quaint village of Saint Savin. The Hotel and restaurant looks quite plain on the outside, but don't hesitate - go in and secure your reservation and prepare yourself for an exquisite gastronomic indulgence. Whilst not cheap the quality of the meals and service is exceptional value for money and an... More

Once again le Viscos has treated twowheeltours to an amazing meal. We have eaten there on many of our private cycling tours and it always makes for one of the highlights. Thank you to Aurélien, Francoise & Jean-Pierre Saint-Martin for making us feel like we are coming home to eat and adding those special touches to make it a 10/10... More

Recommended by our B&B owner we weren't disappointed. About 3 miles from Argeles-Gazost the Hotel restaurant is on the hill side in the old square. We had terrace seating. I had a 5 course set meal which was excellent and they had local wines which were very drinkable! My wife has a gluten allergy and found our trip in France... More

We had the chance to celebrate my 40 years birthday. My husband chose this restaurant after looking at several place recommended by the Michelin Guide around Lourdes but also because of the Saint Martin family tradition in defending local state of the art regional cuisine. The Saint Martin family was wonderful with us (from booking to making sure that our... More

This is a fantastic restaurant in a gem of a little village above Argeles-Gazost. The food is outstanding with an excellent level of attentive service. The menu isn't cheap but probably what it is expected for food of this quality. Our evening was made very entertaining but the chef who gave an almost poetic description of every dish and left...
