Pierre, our villa concierge, recommended this restaurant when we arrived on Saturday evening. Driving in the dark, it seemed like we were going well off the beaten path and we thought we had gotten the directions wrong! It's the last restaurant before Saline Beach and was well worth the trek. The proprietor is jolly and so friendly, the atmosphere convivial... More

If you want to lounge around for 3 hours, this is your place. Understaffed and very French, this restaurant features a wait for your meal ambiance. Once received, it was mediocre.

We got here by recommendation of our landlord. The restaurant sits underneath a massive rock which gives it a great look. There is a bar and an open terrace where dinner gets served. The service was attentive and friendly with a sense of humour. Food Creole style with a French touch was very good and pricing was moderate. A clear... More

Good island food, available all day. Rustic surroundings with a family of iguanas. Very open and can be hot but go for the flavours. Try the fish boudin and freshwater prawns.

It's the closest restaurant to Saline beach. Loved the cabbage chicken salad as it's got a spicy Thai kick to it. Many great salads and seafood options. 100% outdoor dining. Perfect lunch spot for beach-goers.

Delicious food is just a few minutes walk from Saline Beach. The prices are reasonable (especially for St Barth's). You can dine while enjoying a view of the pond. The service is very friendly.

For many years, people have raved about the great fushion food at Mayas, on Public Beach, which was cited as one of the few "deals" in St. Barths. Sometime a few years ago, Maya's steeply raised its prices. At the new prices, there are better places to eat in St. Barths. Well, Grain de Sel is the new Maya's ...... More

As always, our reviews are based on our particular likes, tastes, expectations and expert-ence; never intended to persuade/dissuade anyone from patronizing a business. We were at the beach in Saline and decided to stop-in for a quick lunch; we believe there are only two restaurants nearby open for lunch in this area. Diners have an open-view to the outside no... Was driving around the Island and decided to have lunch at Grain De Sel. Had the fish special, with the best french fries. Fries were cooked perfect. Spouse had steak special both were very good. Cocktails were good as well as the service.
