My family and I decided to dine at this restaurant further to reading glowing recommendations on the renowned Gambero Rosso guide, which hails it as one of the best restaurants in the city. Modo' has a prime location right in the heart of the historic centre of Nardo' and it is easily accessible despite the area being pedestrianised. Upon arrival,... More

Just by chance after many years of staying in puglia we decided to pop into narco to look around and came across mood. The decor is superb the welcome warm, although the waitress had no English, and the food? ......well it was fantastic. The podolica steak just melted in your mouth. Highly recommend this restaurant

We asked at the Tourist Office and they didn't recommend this but it is 25m away. At 1330 no one in the place. Good menu choices and wine list. Attentive waitress who helped us as our italian is poor. But small portions of very very good food and being charged €10 for a bottle of local beer is just not... More

This great place is run by a couple, he an American/Rumanian chef, and she an Italian architect. The service is personal and nice, the winelist is more than ok (try the Fiano by Polvanera if there is any left), but we were especially charmed by the kitchen. Everybody at our table loved his dish and I was crazy about the... More

I'm not often prompted to post reviews but we lucked on this place during a cycling tour and what a gem! Outwardly unpreposessing and modernist, the food was outstanding: having paid 2 euros each cover charge the previous night at a tourist pizzeria for nothing more than a table cloth, here for E1.50 we had a selection of artisan breads,... You have to please them. They do not have to please you. I have lived in Italy for 24 years. There were four people in the restaurant but the hostess insisted that we could not sit by the window. There were men sitting by window.....go figure!

Service here is not on the menu. You are made to feel as if you are a bother to the wait staff, and when asked about daily offerings, told no not today! Go elsewhere and continue to love Italy rather than be put off here.

I have lived in Italy for 20 years in the summers, and traveled alot there. I live in NY in the States, so that is my basis for this review: this place could be in NY and it would be packed! A true breath of fresh air, with its clean modern softly colored interior. Unique dishes, beautifully presented, a fusion... More
