We decided to check out the number one rated pizza place in Villa and found it kind of hard to believe all the great reviews. La María only offers one size of pizza, small, four pieces, and our pizza was not even browned on the...bottom or anywhere else; why bother having a wood-burning oven if the pizza is barely even cooked? It was nothing special, the big chunks of mushrooms al ajillo were awkward to eat and lacked any garlic flavor. The lentil burger was tasty and served with pickles, but on a huge cold bun. We have been to numerous places in town, and ended up paying more here than in any other one so far. La María is overpriced, with good serivce, though they did not ask how our food was, loud rock music, a TV playing repeating advertisements of the restaurant and pale, unremarkable pizza. They are pet-friendly, and have a lively central location off Parque Nariño, it is fun to watch people pass by.More
We enjoyed our dinner very much. Food was great and we particularly recommend the ubate Brie cheese. We were slightly disappointed by the puttanesca sauce in artesanal sausage starter (sausages themselves were very good, in our opinion). Background music was well chosen and played at...a good volume. The restaurant overlooks a nice/quiet park. Service was good.More
We had personal pizzas seize baked in a wooden oven. Nice thick Doug mixed up with fresh products allowed us to enjoy 2 tasty pizzas in a nice restaurant and friendly service. During the dinner they had oldie background music ( in English) and a...beautiful sunset view through one of the windows watching the Antonio Narino park.More
