I have traveled in many countries and by far the best meal I have had in yeas was here. The Steak was tender and melted in your mouth. they have a local cheese which is delightful. This is a must stop to have a fine meal. The owner was friendly and assisted the server in delivering the meal.

I stopped by here for a late lunch, I was hungry for trout. There are several restaurants within Casa Quintero, this one has great patio seating plus indoor seating, handy in rainy weather. The food was not fancy, just delicious eating.

Been there twice and my favorite so far is the Vegetable Soup. It is full of flavor, herbs and I don't know how many delicious types of vegetables they put to make a wholesome meal!! It is a small restaurant in Casa Quintero and the owner is always there. The service was good and it didn't take much on both... More

We came here based on the TripAdviser reviews and were disappointed. The patacones (fried platanos) were tough and lacked flavor and the tomato salsa that came with the platanos had gone bad. The soup was good, but not great. The ginger limonade was full of floating chunks of ginger and mint that were not totally incorporated, which made the texture... More

Ajiaco de tomate soup, the best! Number one choice also for vegetarians! The owner, and also well known cuisine critic and writer, makes sure every thing is perfect! Food, ambiance and service! Not to miss if you're in town!

Silly me to think that the ceviche may be fresh. I take the blame. But after 3 days of being sick because of it I must let you know. I ordered a ceviche and the sobrebarriga, as a few hours later I'd learn, the ceviche was in a pretty bad state and my body reacted badly to it, gladly I... More

The menu looked good but the food was not. Sticky tables. We ordered a tomato soup but it was sweet. Service quite fair.

There are,I believe, 9 restaurants in this complex and Tierra Bueno is one of them. There are indoor and outdoor tables. Outdoor is in a courtyard, shared with other restaurants. First get in the restaurant and let them know you'll sit outside, if that is your choice. There are 2 entrances to the restaurant complex, one from the Plaza Mayor(The cathedral side... More

We loved the food -- the Colombian soups accompanied by rice and avocado and made with lentils and beef. Great wine, nice atmosphere. Lovely sitting either indoors or outdoors. I've eaten their twice now on two different visits to Villa de Leyva.
