The two of us stopped by here for lunch after it was recommended by our homestay. The food was really tasty and ridiculously good value for money: we had a really good soup, grilled fish, rice, salad, fresh juice and a small desert all for...around £6/7 (in total). We found that it tripadvisor maps had it in the wrong place when we last looked (it is uphill and at the end of town towards the palentology museum, where carrera 9 and 10 join).More

Excellent service; seated and waited upon promptly, and food came quickly. A self-serve (one portion) salad bar, with small saucers, but nice to have salad. We had the "menu del dia," which, besides the salad came with fried pork, plain rice, mixed vegetables, yucca (with...a tasty sauce), juice (watery), and dessert (small slice of cake with coffee syrup). Nice atmosphere. Attractive and authentic. We liked the salad the best; the pork was dry (but we were there rather late for lunch). Lunch was only 11,000 pesos.More

After hiking up to the viewpoint, we walked back to town and saw this cosy place. Many locals where eating here, so we thought it should be a good place to have lunch. And we really don't regret. We had the most expensive (22.000 pesos,...so 7 Euros!) dish on the menu, salmon with an orange-sauce. It was fabulous. They have a salad bar where you can fuel yourself with some vitamins. Really good, especially because most of the times when you eat outdoors it's hard to find some veggies. They also had a set lunch (soup, rice, meat, salad and fries) for 10.000 pesos (3,30 Euros). Unbelievable they can offer such good food for so little money. Really, really recommended!More

I chose to go to this place when I noticed that it was filled with locals. Clearly they knew something I didn't, and I was definitely not disappointed. The menu ejecutivo included a fruit/salad bar, jugo natural, and a DELICIOUS soup. The main course was...incredible spaghetti with meat sauce, rice and vegetables. The whole thing cost $10,000 COP (around $3.50). Definitely the best meal I've had in Villa de Leyva.More

We ate the menu ejecutivo on two occasions. The quality of the food is second to none. The soup was more like a thick stew and was super filling. There is a fruit and salad bar which was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended especially if...you've had your fill of empanadas. Attached is a bakery run by the same family.More
