Great food in a tiny restaurant, inspired in local town. You need to experiment with recipes using local ingredients, and try a selection of differents plates

There's a limited menu and it only includes local ingredients (mostly seafood and fishes) we were received by the Chef owner (Sumito Estevez) we chose to have the Margarita's experience day that included local empanadas (LA Asuncion), fresh fish soup, smoked clams (LA Guardia) and others dishes. Every dish was presented as a mini theatrical sketch very funny and original.... More

The initial experience was terrible because it was impossible to make a reservation by phone even though we found five different telephone numbers and non answered, finally we went during the day to reserve for the dinner. The place is very simple, actually a little bit ugly. The furniture is just terrible, but the good start with the food. The... More

We went to have dinner. All the plates were delicious. The tartare was my favorite. Since I'm a dessert person I wanted to try the piñonate and I can tell you it is absolutely amazing, they serve it with queso de cabra. Highly recommended.

Discovering this place was a blessing: finally some good food, good ingredients, and a proper international standard. We went back several times. It is not even expensive.

We dined at Mondeque last January and we left really dissapointed about the quality of food. We had great expectations as we heard that Sumito Estevez was the chef overseeing this restaurant and we had a fantastic meal food at Sibaris, Caracas in one of our previous trips to Venezuela. The limited menu was over complicated and most of the... More
