New management, the opening of the cellars next door, the elimination of the music and patio seats to next door, all render this place as a dive now. Only the upstairs is now open. Service is cut to a minimum, so no waterfront seating. Prices...More

Fascinating view, smart ambiance, delicious food at lunch, charming servers and staff. It is worth the drive from Toronto or elsewhere. (Reserve and ask for a window view.) The Citrus Char is sharp and delightful, the Seafood pasta deliciously garlicky, the Pork Chop tasty and...More

Had a great lunch wth three friends on a rainy day in Elora. Great food. I had the Barley/lamb soup and the Chicken Club sandwich. Yummy. My friends had the mac and cheese and the same soup. All were pleased.

It was a cold and windy Friday night in Elora and we had tried two places that were noisy at the bar, and we wanted peace and quiet after a long day. This was perfect. Small, accomodating. The waitress was very attentive to not just...More

We had a very bad experience at the Mill Street Bistro. Do yourself a favour and go to the Elora Brewery or another restaurant in Elora. We ordered the Elora Three Fields beer and we were told the keg was broken. The smoked chicken sandwich...More

What a lovely place! A great location with a great patio; delicious food; great craft beers. You can't tell from the front what a gem this is! (Or how spacious)

Fast and delicious for our client take out lunch. Variety of sandwiches on a tray with a salad for the gluten free patron. Everyone should stay for the patio overlooking the river. Very pretty location.

Description
Situated on the banks of the Grand River, Mill Street Bistro & Smokehouse offers spectacular views from our dining room, upper deck, and brick patio! We do off-site catering and on-site. Book our beautiful, landscaped park by the river for a reunion, wedding, community or corporate event. Classical music Friday nights, and live music and dancing on the patio Saturday nights in July and August. We have about a dozen Ontario craft beers on tap, and a great selection of Niagara wines. Our approach is farm to table, what we don't grow on the Bistro farm, we source from our neighbours! The Bistro is open everyday for lunch and every night for dinner in July and August, and for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights off-season.
