I set this date up as a birthday surprise for a friend and it was an awesome surprise. This is a great place for small celebration's or gatherings, couples, mix and mingle or just a night out alone for some relax time, a drink and good entertainment. Atmosphere: This place gets a 5! It's cozy, relaxing and the decor sets... More

The name "Dirty Dog" may be most misleading. This is an excellent place to take your loved partner for a very fancy Jazz dining. The restaurant is finely decorated and offer fine international cuisine. I was also able to order difficult to find wine genres, like Barolo. It is pricey but worthy. Low point: you may have to go around... More

Grosse Pointe is so lucky to be home to a such an exceptional jazz venue. Seasonal cuisine is always excellent, as is service and cocktails. Enjoy a relaxing evening listening to first rate jazz acts in a quiet "listening room" atmosphere. Gracious staff is always welcoming. Such a gem and a treat every time we visit.

I really liked this place a lot. They offer two shows in the evening while you have dinner and drinks. Great staff and ambience! The woman that owns it sat at the bar and enjoyed the show too. Highly recommend!

We went to an 8:30pm show last Friday. The venue is lovely and the proximity to the live music is very nice - so the show was fun. That said, we arrived at 8:15pm for the 8:30pm seating. We were put back into the "boardroom" to wait - no access to food, drink or service. At a minimum, they should... More

Visited with a group and the service and food was exceptional and the jazz was great, albeit a little loud to carry on a conversation, but then if you go for music, you shouldn't be talking anyhow. I had the sample appetizer which is a meal in itself, the salad of greens had a tasty dressing and came with bread,... More

Great music and good food. Eclectic menu is always interesting but may not appeal to those with basic tastes. This place is about the music and the shows are outstanding. The owner is a jazz enthusiasts and the selection of acts is both local and national artists.

While we didn't eat the food at the Dirty Dog, we enjoyed some fantastic cocktails while we enjoyed some excellent jazz music. While not a very large setting, the Dirty Dog is intimate, clean and upscale. The acoustics are great and there isn't really a bad view in the house. If you're looking for some great jazz and some solid... More

Very fun!!! The Jazz is world class; we once heard Kyle Eastwood and his band! Unique opportunity to see these musicians up close and enjoy a good meal. Good service and wonderful atmosphere!!!

I eat lunch here often. The specials are wonderful and the chopped salad off the Regular menu is delicious. House made potato chips are Devine.
