Small but great location. Felt like we were hanging out at an old pub in the 70s. The server was super friendly and had lots of suggestions for us while we had a staycation weekend. We ate nachos and drank some beer/wine. Vibey atmosphere and...background tunes playing.
Would love to see this place if live music ever comes back!More

We stopped in to quench our first after exploring Wakefield and we weren't disappointed! The beer selection was good, and had a few beers that you don't normally see in Ottawa. The staff were very friendly, and if you sit on the patio, hours can...go by as you watch the lake. Would definitely visit again!More

Sami’s burgers were good but the rest of the experience was extremely average. The water had a bad taste, the chips ( which came as a side dish to the burger) were not good and we waited about 30 min for de food. The place...is rather dirty, not well maintained and not welcoming.More

Super super music venue in a rustic old cottage. The staff were friendly, the draft beer was cold, and the simple yet tasty menu was served hot, fresh, and very fast. This seems like the 'locals' hangout and it was a really great evening!

I was in this beautiful and relaxing town for a couple of nights. My B&B hosts recommended I stop here for Wednesday evening Open Mic. Glad I did. Great crowd and talented musicians. I was welcomed warmly by a number of locals and that set...well with a solo travel from the US! Great soup and sandwich and a couple of well-poured drafts, with friendly conversation between sets of music. Will be backMore

Pub atmosphere with an interesting menu. I had the special, maple pulled pork with rutabaga mash. Wow! Excellent and interesting. Attentive service, interesting and varied menu. Entire family was pleased.

Stopped by here a couple times. Good food good people. Right across from the river in a great location with outdoor seating. Wednesday night open the stage is worth a visit…

We came in for a late dinner and weren’t disappointed. We enjoyed the jambalaya and it was incredible. The bartender/waitress was very helpful and service was excellent.

I heard this place used to be called the Black Sheep. We were here for dinner with my hubby's aunt & uncle. The restaurant/bar is quite small. But it filled up quickly. Food wise they have mostly soups, sandwiches & a few hot items. I...had the Asian rice bowl but it didn't agree with me. I'm not going to fault them as my stomach was already upset when we got there. Hubby had the tomato bacon corn chowder & turkey sandwich. He enjoyed his meal a lot. The server was also the bar tender & he was bustling around as the bar got more busy. But he was nice & efficient given how busy it got. I wouldn't come here on my own as it's a drive away from downtown Ottawa where we were staying. It is beautiful in Wakefield though & the bar was right beside the water.More
