Absolutely fabulous scones! Plenty of coffee to go with them! Owners are awesome. And when the weather is warm, they have a wonderful patio for outside dining with a terrific ocean view.

A small cafe, located in the former living room of the original house. Small, cosy, staff are very friendly. Only downside is that washrooms are located in the building next door. On the outside end of a three room rental unit. We spoke to a...lady staying at the units. To use the washroom at night, you have to go outdoors to the end of the building. The desserts are delicious, they have an unusual variation on a tea scone, with lots of local berries baked in.More

Thank you! Washroom info: if staying in cottage, there is a washroom inside. Other washrooms (2); 1 for “bunkies” with shower sink and toilet and the other is for customers for tearoom. Most glamping sites have washroom located away from rooms. Only 10 steps so...More

We stopped at Ida's on the last day or our 4 day girls weekend. Greenspond is so beautiful and worth the stop! Ida's staff were so friendly and the tea buns were delicious!

The owners were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. The cinnamon buns were some of the best that I have ever had, and located with an amazing view of the ocean.

A must do in Greenspond. This place is truly one of a kind, for snacks and service, plus views to boot. It is a small quaint tea shop right on the ocean. You can choose to sit inside or outside. The back deck has ocean...views for miles. The services is outstanding. Extremely friendly but not "fake". Offered my pooch some water which was very nice :) Has the scones, tea buns and coffees. Tasty and coffee was piping hot. Attentive with top ups as well....Very affordable coffee shop.Snacks and coffee served on beautiful dishes. Offered that extra charm and appeal. They offer some items for sale and some crafts. The inside has a lot of antiques and original charm.More

If you only stop here to discover how this little charmer got it's name it would be worth the visit. If you're lucky enough to have some time, stay for tea, a cinnamon bun or other treats.

This is an amazing little place in one of the most beautiful locations on Newfoundland. Heather will welcome you with some of the best tea room food around and the greatest coffee and selection of teas. All made on premises. Experience the 1868 building and...imagine how the original owners would have lived there, so close to the ocean. Amazing! If you are in this part of the world - visit this place. You won't regret it and you may even find some freshly caught fish on the quay!More

Heather is a marvelous host, and serves locally sourced teas, like Blueberry (yum!) and Ginger Lemongrass (bracing!) and the usual suspects. Beautiful views, cozy room, full deck and very welcoming. Surely the best place on the island!

I stopped here with my family for a coffee. We all had cheesecake. Everything eatable is made fresh, onsite from scratch. The house has been kept in it's original form inside and out. You can sit inside or out on the patio near the seaside...where you can also admire the town. The town is like stepping back in time. It's like a historic park. The experience at this tea house was certainly a strong dose of serenity.More

This is a little restaurant in a quaint picturesque community. We visited there while on drive "around the loop." This is not really a restaurant with a full menu, but is simply a place for a traveller or visitor to have a home made dessert...with some nice coffee or tea. The selection is limited as to the desserts, but what is served is simply delicious. Try the home made cheesecake with a variety of home made toppings. Partridgeberry was my favorite. The homemade scones are superb. We took some home. It was a really nice sunny day and to sit on the patio and look out at the water is beautiful. We decided to sit inside to cool off and look out the other side to the picturesque setting. Picture postcard for sure. I forgot to mention the hospitality provided by the owner, Heather. She is extremely friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend this as a detour off the travelled path.More
