Amazing restaurant. Very unique from the building ( dating back to around 1600) and the decor ( you really need to see it) to the authentic food combinations. Absolutely loved it. Christian was the perfect host describing each plate option ( in English for me!!...) We began with an amuse bouche and glass of blanc des Blancs before a choice of 4 antipasti, 3 primi and 3 secondi plates accompanied by a local Montepulciano vin. Original, quirky, delightful. I look forward to returning - an absolute pleasurable experience!! Grazie MilleMore

Wow! We have been visiting the region for the last 15 years and have found many good restaurants. But all the family were blown away with the experience today. Beautiful drive to the restaurant. Old restored vaulted ceilings cut into the rock. Fabulous ambience with...the owners twist on decor. And then the food. A choice of three dishes for each course. We all ordered differently so as to have a taste. Delicious! I’ve never seen my kids devour everything like they did today. The owner and staff were absolutely fantastic with descriptions of the food for us in English. Please do yourself a favour and visit this magnificent restaurant.More

La Vineria di Salnitro provides a unique experience. It is worth visiting for the food but also for the unusual style and art. Angelo is a great show man and presents a limited number of food choices all individually prepared to order. We enjoyed every...dish and thought the restaurant was also very good valueMore

An amazing display of exquisite food plated like a Multi hatted chef. We had 5 courses and each one was better than the next. Excellent service, very personalised. The venue is based on an old Oil Processing mill transformed into a rustic and historic restaurant....Very unique and a must if you are ever in the region. Say hello to Angelo and he will treat you like family. Bravi!More

My favorite restaurant in all of Abruzzo, La Vineria di Salnitro is a fabulous, crazy place to eat. Set in the heart of wine and olive country where great food is everywhere, La Vineria stands out from the crowd with inventive and delicious offerings. From...starters to dessert, you will be amazed at the interesting preparations and wonderful tastes all provided in a beautiful setting of an old olive mill. Angelo provides excellent service. Don't worry if you don't speak Italian...he is easily able to explain the menu items. And just wait until you see the show he puts on when pouring the wine. I think the best item on the menu is the Montepulciano Risotto, but judge for yourself. It's all fabulous. Buon Appitito.More

A great find and completely different to other restaurants in the area. The setting's quirky and original - set into the old walls of pretty village San Martino della Marrucina. Decor's comfortable, romantic and highly original. (You'll see what I mean when you get there)....Mellow background music just perfect for the setting. The food is outstanding. An original, modern and delicious twist on standard Italian fare. Red wine risotto; rabbit terrine; signature starter of a salt-baked onion with parmesan; pasta with a sauce made from osso bucco; organic pork fillet with a red wine glaze; a deconstructed cheesecake dessert. No menu - but Padrone Angelo will carefully guide you through the choices for each course. And help with the wine ! Can genuinely recommend La Vineria. Each visit is a new pleasure.More
