Really basic place but the food was tasty tasty enough if a bit greasy. Restaurant is really basic, just a room with an open kitchen. The menu has English translations which is unusual for this area and was very welcome. Staff were friendly and pleasant...but don’t speak much English. Everything was tasty but it was swimming in oil. I had the mixed grill and my parter had the piri piri chicken. The meals came with salad and fried potatoes. We both had banoffi for dessert which was good. With a half carafe of wine total bill came to just 27 euros so good value.More

Lots of choice on the menu, very nice hosts, not expensive. This place has "an open kitchen" (so you can see how they prepare the food)

Real traditional Portugese food in a real Portugese setting without too much touristic tricks or traps. Simple, more than enough and not pricy.

Great prawns and the best steak I have ever had (but I could never afford something that good in the UK).

I love this place and the family who run it are fantastic. Welcoming environment and I have never had a bad meal once. I eat here a lot!! (Working through the entire menu) Honest Portuguese food and all of the deserts are made in house...from scratch too... The cheesecake is my fave.More
