My friends and I try and meet up a few times a month to go for food for a catch up. We booked a table at this venue as we decided to pick a new place for a change of atmosphere. The team were very polite and accommodating (even for our table of 6 booked last minute) The large portions of food at a reasonable price was excellent! Will definitely be returning!

Jack's a new favourite place

As I was sheilding and have been really unwell, so I am still cautious where I go, but want to get back to some kind of normal. My friend suggested Jacks as they have heated outdoor seating which would be great if it was busy. On arrival, we were met by the most delicious smell in the carpark. Turned out to be someones pork belly bites that we went on to order. The peaceful setting, surrounded by trees, with zero road noise was exactly what I needed. The serving staff were friendly & helpful e.g. moving a table so their was room for a pushchair. The baby, is a very good judge of character and also gave them a 5 star review with her smiles when they spoke to her lol. The food and drinks, seemed reasonably priced given the location and how delicious the meal was. The pork belly bites are definitely a new favourite, well marinaded with plenty of flavour, but without an over reliance in salt or sugar so they were satisfying & not overly sweet or salty. We both had Salads too and they were tasty and fresh. The cheese cake we both had for dessert was perfect too, the cheese was light & fluffy and the base crisp but not hard like some are so no rusk to teeth or it pinging off the plate. (Especially important for my friend eating one handed holding a baby). Overall, a lovely relaxing visit, friendly knowledgeable staff who are attentive but not intrusive, and great food.

Repeat visit to restaurant

We have not stayed in a cabin but visit the restaurant on our regular visits to Norfolk. Jack's was recommended by Martyn at the Belle Vue B & B in Denver & the recommendation is spot on. As we both have mobility issues we have been told we can park our car right next to the entrance. The restaurant & facilities are spotless with all Covid 19 rules adhered to making guests feel very safe. Jack & his team are very friendly & nothing is too much trouble. We have only eaten Sunday lunch but the lamb was superb & very generous portions. The aero mint cheesecake was delicious. Visiting again 18th October & fingers crossed that Lamb & aero mint cheesecake are on the menu!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy to book a table, nice size car park. Roomy bright food area, covid aware staff who were polite, friendly and professional in the way they serve and collectused dishes. Excellent house Carribean curry in big bowl. Family friendly.

Amazing can’t wait to return

We made our 3rd visit to Jacks this year, to do so we have make a 50 mile round trip, this was our first ever evening visit. The food really is amazing and reasonably priced, but what makes this place that bit extra special is the service from the waiting staff, admirably led by the boss Jack. Jack gets involved with each and every table to make sure your visit is special and not just your typical eatery where often you are being served by someone that seems to hate their job. If you want somewhere different with amazing food and a terrific atmosphere, this is the place to visit.

We arrived for our booking at 11.30 and was immediately given a warm welcome by Jack and seated in a booth by the window. Ellie our waitress came to collect our drinks order within 5mins of being there and asked if we were ready to place our food order, which we were. My daughter and myself advised of our dairy intolerance, which Ellie kindly noted. Our food arrived nice and hot and well presented. My mum advised Jack her extra mushroom was missing and he immediately rectified the mistake. As a family we all enjoyed our late breakfast meal together and just love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that Jack’s has to offer.

From the very friendly welcome till we were waved goodbye we were given the very best of service. Our first visit and it will not be our last. Our party of 6 arrived in two groups and there was no hanging around waiting - we were offered drinks immediately which doesn't happen everywhere. Our fussy eater requests were treated as if they were normal and then when the food arrived WOW, well presented but not like the painting some places give you, these plates were full of food and so tasty. There was so much we needed boxes. The menu is varied so there is something for all tastes. If you didn't get the message about the top class customer service at the beginning let me repeat it - so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Great food , nice place, noisy atmosphere good service

We were taken there by our friends for Sunday lunch .we got a very friendly welcome and were shown to a large window facing table with bench seats . We ordered two alcoholic drinks and two cokes then ordered three roast dinners and the mega rib meal. The other three were very pleased with the quality and quantity of their food and I just loved the massive pile of ribs chips, salad and delicious coleslaw. We cleared our plates and ordered pudding two Apple crumble and two cheese cake very nice with cream and custard. They made a mistake with the bill but once it was sorted it was around £55 per couple we tipped the waiter . The service was good and polite but a little more cheeriness injected into the young lads voice would have been nice.. The only downside was the parking. Because the whole place is occupied by holiday makers,event goers and don't know what else the car parks were full from the gate inwards so we had to walk quite a bit even with a blue badge .there were no blue badge spots to park in. But all in all great lunch.

Excellent Lunchtime meal

Went for Sunday Lunch on 16/07/23, I had the Carvery which is brought to you on a plate rather than you having to stand in a queue. I was asked which meat I'd like and was given 3 choices, I asked for a bit of two, unfortunately it wasn't explained to me that was £2.95 extra. However, the meal was terrific three (yes three huge slices of Beef and two huge slice of turkey on a bed of broccoli, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, dauphinoise potatoes and cauliflower cheese an huge Yorkshire pud with a good slug of gravy. The meat was just as it should be, tender for the beef and moist for the turkey. We were asked twice by staff how our meal was and the service was excellent throughout our stay, all done with a smile and so polite. The restaurant was really busy whilst we were there but the staff never broke stride and were really very good. I definitely would go here again to try some of the other delights on offer in the menu, maybe next time I'm in Norfolk.

Great food and a great vibe.

We were in the area to spend some time with our daughter who is in the forces and based nearby. None of us had been to Jacks before but the moment we walked into the place we were made to feel extremely welcome, almost as if we were returning old friends. The place had a great vibe which was added to by the attentive, efficient and switched on staff with Jack himself leading from the front. All of this might count for nothing if the food was below par but the three different meals we had were all excellent. We weren't able to clear our plates simply due to the size of the portions. Our evening was very enjoyable thanks to all of the factors mentioned and great value for money (not just because a military discount was applied). We will definitely go back again and would strongly recommend Jack's to anyone looking for a restaurant with a great vibe and a special character.

First time visiting Jack’s and I will definitely be returning. We were met at the door by Jack and due to having not booked and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table but was offered a drink at the bar first which we were more than happy to do. Once seated we were given food menus and our order was taken so quickly. Our food arrived quickly and we asked for an extra bowl of roast potatoes which was not a problem at all. I was feeding my little boy when the food arrived and shortly after I was offered to have my food taken back into the kitchen and kept warm, I was extremely pleased with the service and wished more places offered this. All the staff were friendly and accommodating definitely recommend to couples and families.

First time visit, lovely atmosphere, delicious meal

This was our first visit to Jacks and being local we were annoyed with ourselves afterwards that we hadn't been before. Visiting at lunch we had a warm welcome from staff. The outside looked fairly busy as the sun was shining. We, however, chose to eat indoors. We chose a booth close to the open kitchen. Our waiter was really pleasant and more than happy to help us and talk us through various options etc... he was also very helpful and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered 2 quiche dishes and a crispy chicken wrap. The food was exactly as described in the menu and arrived without delay. The food was hot and tasty. For a lunch meal both dishes were adequately sized for us. 10/10 The only thing we did miss out on was meeting Jack himself. Hopefully we will have the pleasure the next time we visit.

On this company’s website it says “everyone welcome”, and the staff could not have met their ethos anymore if they tried! Lovely staff members - friendly and helpful! An amazing bunch of people. 5* customer service from everyone. The food was great! We had the chilli dogs which were hot, thoroughly cooked and delivered promptly. There is a wide selection available to suit both vegetarian and gluten needs. All available at a decent price. Set in a beautiful woodland area, with gorgeous views of nature at its best, this restaurant is clean and accommodating throughout. The booths to the far side of the restaurant look like they offer a certain amount of privacy and, maybe one day, more of these could be offered as the main restaurant is very open. Whilst this isn’t an issue, I wouldn’t go here for a work meeting for this reason only. Well done Jacks, we will be visiting again! (In fact, I’m arranging a date with a friend to get another loyalty stamp for a free meal!). One of the best restaurants that I have visited post covid!

Excellent breakfast, friendly service

We visited as a family and had an excellent breakfast. I had a full English and also had fried bread and black pudding. My wife had the small English and her son’s partner had the vegetarian option. There are plenty of other options on the menu including vegan, pancakes and eggs Benedict. Service is great and very friendly and the view from the restaurant is lovely. Lots of outside seating options as well. Breakfast is served seven days a week and we will be regular customers.

Underrated spot, 5* for all occasions Have visited Jack’s a few times and I’ve felt compelled to write a review. All visits to Jack’s have been absolutely faultless. The atmosphere, the drinks, the food, and the staff. The food is second to none, cooked perfectly. The chefs know exactly what they’re doing, & enjoy what they do too (The ribs are my FAV, the meat falls straight off the bone) - you don’t wait long for it either!!! Result in my books. Drinks are great. My partner had a pornstar martini and coming from an ex cocktail bartender, it was pretty darn good. Nice pint selection also. Staff are constantly smiling, attentive and quick service. We met Jack tonight actually and he’s extremely hands-on and always talking to his guests. Really good people skills. It seems like a really fun place to work. This team deserves all the tips! Overall totally worth every penny and it’s always a pleasure seeing a family restaurant doing well in the competing business.
