My wife and I loved this place so much we went back today, when we first went on Monday! The hospitality, the atmosphere, if you are heading to Owen Sound. Please make a stop here, you won't be disappointed! They close at 2 PM though...so breakfast and lunch, or in our case brunches. I had the eggs Benedict first time and the breakfast pizza today and my wife had Bacon and cheese French toast sandwich, and Hawaiian omelette respectively, with a cinnamon roll to go on Monday! It was delicious, well made and love the green onion on top which makes it work so well with home fries! Last but not least is the owner J.D., what a great person to talk to and hear his stories and feeling right at home! I don't leave reviews often, but this one I felt compelled and excited to do! (Socially distanced tables, they have hand sanitizers and a sheet to fill in for contact tracing purpose too, so you don't need to worry. All the staff have a face mask on the whole time)! We will for sure return next time we are in-town!More

My wife and I stopped for a quick bite for lunch at the Sidekicks Café and were surprised with the quality of a chicken bacon lettuce tomato sandwich without the bacon. Tomato was particularly fresh and chicken was cooked but still juicy. This is country...fare. Service was friendly and fast. The beef barley soup was very tasty but made with ground beef instead of my preference: small chunks of stewing beef. Coleslaw was yummy with a light sweet dressing. Coffee was typical for the region.More

Great location on Toronto Street with lots of parking. We were searching for an early Sunday breakie...and this placed opened up at 7 AM. Great menu options and great value. Service was friendly and prompt and everything was cooked to perfection. Coffee was lovely. Definitely...coming back!More

Had eggs benny - tasty. Served with both hashbrowns & fruit cup. Beautifully presented. Service was both friendly and efficient.

Found this little gem and was not disappointed! Service was fast and friendly. My hamburger was homemade and flavourful. Home fries were the best! We will come back!

Small place in Markdale but great food. Haven’t had anything on the menu that we haven’t liked. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly.

Fast service, great food and nicely located beside the LCBO in Markdale on Highway 10 (on the way to Owen Sound). Great sense of humor from the owner and all the staff are friendly. Breakfast is served all day - beats the fast food joints...by a mile.More

My favorite breakfast spot in town. Love the breakfast. It's always busy on the weekend so you may not get a table, always a good sign :)

Decided to take a drive to Markdale just to try this place out. My boyfriend had been many times and raves about it. Super friendly server. Yummy coffee. Hot food with perfect eggs. The place was nice and clean. Lots of locals were in. It...has a nice small town atmosphere. I was not disappointed. Well done guys. Thank you very much. I will be returning with the family :) Cheers! Paul.More
