We encoutered this pub when we were looking for a venue in Grassington that shows football matches and the Grand National race. The staff are friendly but the decor a little old and tired. It is clearly a drinking man's pub where folk come to watch sports and chat.

This pub looks as if it has seen better days - very shabby. The food was just average pub grub - nothing special. The Dining Room was small and the whole place needs refurbishing.

We ate at the Foresters both nights of our recent stay in Grassington and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, not only to their regulars but also to other guests and the food was tasty and plentiful especially the meals for the "Lighter appetite" which were excellent value. The dumb-waiter and open fires just added to... More

Having stayed here about 3 year's ago and the room was tired and dated then, we thought we would give it another go. On arrival we were pointed in the direction of our room, which happened to be the same room we had previously stayed in. I'm sure the room had not been redecorated since our last visit and the... We visited the Foresters Arms again for lunch and evening meal. We had forgotten it was Quiz Night but enjoyed the atmosphere and although we did not take part ourselves we gave a helping hand to a nearby table. Friendly staff. We would recommend the sausage and mash - a real treat with lovely onion gravy. Amazed at how they... More

Stayed here with a group of friends for a walking weekend. The staff could not do enough for us. Good food, good location and good pub atmosphere. Facilities somewhat limited because it is an old building but really, really enjoyable.

Although we were tired from walking round Malham for hours we spent a couple of hours here. It was a great atmosphere with people making you feel welcome. Chill Pill, a local band played and they were really friendly and really good. Shame we didn't stay out all night. Will definitely be back.

Lovely setting in the heart of the 'old' village. Good food, fine company , helpful and communicative staff. Wonderful breakfasts using local produce. Set us all up for the day's walk. Evening meals wholesome food - the Lemon Posset sweet was especially good. Whole weekend great value with local beers to drink.
