We tried to get a cream tea here, we went through the downstairs and there was a large group of visitors eating, we asked the waitress for a cream tea and she was very rude saying this was a private party and we should not be there and to use the upstairs bar (there were no signs we could see... We called in here for breakfast and were given a warm welcome, a lovely table looking towards St Michael's Mount and 'the full Cornish'! A lovely experience.

We went here on a busy day over Easter, hoping to have a drink and probably a meal. However, in the end we had neither. We were ignored at the bar for ages and eventually offered 2 bar stools right in the entrance, with no "sorry to keep you waiting" or even a smile. We chose to leave and never... More

Pretty expensive for what you get. But I guess it's the location that you are paying the premium price for. The food and drinks are expensive so bear this in mind if you are on a budget and have children.

My Fiancee and I visited the Godophin on a quiet Wednesday evening in May, on the recommendation of my Aunt who lives locally. We were quickly seated by a very friendly waiter and had a round table taking full advantage of the absolutely stunning views of St. Michael's Mount and the rest of the bay. We were one table back... We were recommended to come here & it certainly surpassed itself. We requested a window seat & had a stunning view over St Michael's Mount in glorious sunshine. We split starters between us, the breads a bit disappointing, the squid more than made up for it! All had a roast with the HUGEST Yorkshire puds ever! No room for desserts,... More

We booked for lunch ahead of our walk across to St Michaels Mount. Perfect location - situated on the beach, with stunning views of the beach and the Mount. The food was divine, we had mains and pudding and all our meals were just superb. Service was also excellent. Can't wait to return when we ar back in Cornwall!

Really hard to beat the view! And the food was lovely, too. We particularly enjoyed the battered fish starter (it was huge!), and found everything to be tasty. There was a nice selection of foods, too, from salads to burgers to meat and vegetable dishes.

This restaurant is conveniently located right opposite St. Michaels Mount. Restaurant is spacious, open and very clean. However, the service is slow, portions are small for the high prices they charge. Our waiter forgot an order so we were unable to eat together as the last order came later. On a positive note this locationn is pet friendly!

I can only apologise that your recent visit was not an enjoyable one. Our prices reflect the high quality, locally sourced produce we use in our dishes. It is frustrating that the poor service did not allow your family to eat together. I assure you that I will look at additional training for all front of house staff. More

Description
Food served throughout the day
Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce.

From hearty Cornish breakfasts to relaxed lunches and intimate dinners, our menu is inspired by living and working by the sea and produce grown and farmed locally. Fresh daily bakes of the most delicious desserts and cakes are also offered up, to be enjoyed alongside the perfect cappuccino or latte.

Where to eat?
Lots of natural, light bathed and restful spaces - all with far-reaching views out over Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount. Sit in the new glass and zinc extension, with doors that open out for al fresco dining during the summer months. Celebrate with family or friends around the intimate Captain's Table that seats 9 or alternatively, relax in our upper deck that has easy sofas, comfy chairs and a logburner. On the lower deck, walk straight in off the beach to the colourful and chilled-out beach bar and dining area. Outside, the beach terrace remains a place to linger, absorb the astonishing views and simply watch the world go by.
