I have been to the Cott Inn on a few occasions now and i have to say the food is nothing short of sensational. The pub is also so old and lovely with the thatched roof. I went Easter Bank holiday and was initially devastated when i discovered the cheese souffle had been taken off the menu, me and my... More

We have just returned to Hampshire after a great 3 nights Easter break at the Cott Inn. The staffs were attentive, welcoming and focused on guests needs. The rooms are extremely comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated keeping the unique charm of a 14 century inn. We are not sure why anyone would place a negative on the food at... More

This will be a short and sweet review, this place has to be the worse sized portions of food I've ever seen and to make it worse very expensive for what you want, my 17 pounds dish had one pork chop, one potato one miniature bread crumb coated piece of black pudding with a spoon of fried cabbage, and around... At first we were turned away (group of 4) as booked up, then the manager said they could fit us on a table for 1.5 hours. I wish we had left. The decor is nice and cosy and the menu looked good (fluffed out pub grub), expensive but we thought it might be awesome and worth the money. HOW WRONG... More

Went there because it's quite a cute looking pub but once I looked at the menu I discovered it was really over priced for the quality of food they offer. Unless your middle class I would say dont eat there. The type of food they have is seriously not worth it and is quite frankly a rip off and rather... More

Group of friends - all meals were delicious. Sadly too full for pud! Only one tiny gripe, as in many places, a little more toast/bread with the lovely pate would have been ideal.

An iconic, quintessentially English pub. Bags of parking space. A most courteous and attentive staff. Good menu. Fairly priced. Food well presented and very tasty. Background music was background music and not blaring. My only reservation: just a tad mean on the size of the meat portions.

Four adults having a pub lunch. Two chose sandwiches and two chose the ploughmans. The sandwiches had an abundance of filling, were very tasty and excellent value for money. Alas the ploughmans left a lot to be desired ! For £11 we were served a small piece of cheese the size of a matchbox, a thickly cut fatty piece of... More
